Noone (outside of Sega) knows for sure yet, but imho looking at their recent platforms "something PC based" would be a good guess. For such a high profile title I'd kinda expect them to develop* something new. * meaning "slap together a decent current-gen PC, then sprinkle some security on top, just like last time"
Didn't know that there was a Daytona USA 2 cabinet in Brazil, actually the fact it ended being exclusive only to the arcades and the quirky style of the game made it very unkown here, in fact, even Scud Race have more units here.
You're right. I really don't remember Daytona USA 2 being too popular. GameWorks Rio had an insane Racing games area, and since they opened in 1999, Daytona USA 2 was a mandatory choice. The cabinets that might be still being operated today are probably in one of the HotZone arcades. The company that represented GameWorks in Brazil is the same that runs HotZone.
