I had someone replace the surface mount caps that were leaking on my Model 1 Sega Cd and it was working before the repair. Now everything works, memory, audio cd, etc except it does not load games. I have two systems and the other board loads games fine in both systems so it is definately the recapped board. Any idea what would cause this behavior?

You're saying the cd rom from the recapped board works fine with the working board?

image.jpg There are twelve replaced caps. The polarity looks good from what I can tell.

I can't tell on c42. Did your guy clean up all the leakage? Any trace damage?

I believe so. He said that I could send the board back to him and he would check the traces. I guess that is my last option.
