Sega CD region free BIOS burning service?

Would somebody be a dear and burn the Jap Mega CD 2 region free BIOS for me with a socket, please? I don't have a burner, nor do I want to buy one from Joe Shmoe & find out it doesn't work. Remember to byte swap it! I can use PayPal, but it'll take a while to load cash onto mine for personal reasons. I don't know if this is in the right forum or not, I'm new, so don't get mad. Doesn't look like zero does Sega CD & bad_ad lives aalllllll the way in Europe. I live in the US.

 

There's this little thing called "international postage", I don't know if you've heard of it.

 

I have, I specialize in imports, actually. It's why I wanna mod my Sega CD. It's just that shipping from the UK is more expensive than it should be.

 

You think the UK is bad? Try getting something shipped from the US, holy shit. It's like $20 for a single NES game, absolutely ridiculous. Only costs me about $5 from Tokyo.

Oh really? How much can you personally get a parcel from the UK to the US for? About $1,500?

International shipping has gone up, certainly. That's life. ALL shipping has gone up - even within the US, and I know that because I saw the USPS notice of price increases. You don't then get stung by Customs on top of that, though - so think yourself lucky!

To respond to your deletion request, we don't generally delete threads here - especially not because you don't like that people answered back when you complained about International shipping charges without asking the member how much he would charge. His prices are very reasonable.

If you think they're bad, order the chip from digi-key. It's a US company. Go and look up their shipping cost on one chip. Still think his prices are unreasonable?

You may alter your first post to say you no longer require the item (and request a mod close the thread if you like), but it seems crazy to do so after not even 24 hours. There's still a chance that a user with a programmer in the US will see this and offer help.

 

Actually I wanted it deleted because this was a stupid question/post. I could have easily found someone to burn it for me.

 

Final, i order mine from bad, 5-7 day to the east coast bud, and its not expensive at all.

 

I guess that doesn't sound too bad, then. I already asked APE though, so if for whatever reason they can't do it I'll ask bad.

 

International from the US to anywhere is crazy expensive now. I get the feeling that international buyers will eschew my services and goods from here on out.

Spot on guys! Australia is a joke for shipping internationally, which is why I never do it! Then there's all that paperwork to make sure I am not sending a bomb through the mail system... Ughhh. If anyone needs EPROMs / EEPROMs burnt down under I'd be happy to give it a go!

 

To the OP is your goal to play retail import games on your Sega CD? If not, as far as burned ones go, can't you just region patch like the Saturn games?
