    Does anyone know if this project ever got off the ground?
    I'll try and post a couple of mockup up images tomorrow. Photobucket is not working for me today.

    Here is a print ad I found online for it.

    Here are slides of two different mockup designs. The first one with one large button is close to the image above.
    The other has three smaller buttons and a window frame shaped flap that folds down.

    Here are two slides showing an interactive Superman and Xmen comic books.

    Wow, to think Sega tried to make something like this!

    It was also quite ambitious of them to draw up a plan that involved both Marvel and D.C.

    I'm fairly certain Marvel never saw the Superman one, and DC doesn't know the X-Men mockup exists.

    That said, it does seem familiar, like it borrowed design elements from other non-gaming Sega electronics of the time.

    Image in the first post is broken. Photobucket is crap. Use Imgur... or your user album on here! :p

    Ever seen Big? That was 28 years ago ;)

    I believe that this is the print ad that Buyatari might be referring to.

    EDIT: Had to put in another image of the print ad

    @ItsMeMario Unfortunately, they never released this thing on the market. The way I figured it, Sega Toys must have figured that it would only be seen as a novelty.
    @Punch Oh did he?

    In the movie "Big" he proposes a similar device to a toy company. I didn't knew the reference I made to the movie was so obscure until now, tried to search a movie clip or something but I could only find that stupid giant piano scene. sigh

    @Punch Mmm-hmm. Anyways, I would have loved to have wanted one of these if they had actually released it instead of scrapping it.

    Man, I would have wanted one of those Digital Comic Book readers if Sega Toys did release it.
