Just got news that this is what I'll be supplying to everyone who buys a copy of Under Defeat for the Dreamcast from me (55 GBP, 80 Euros or 96 US Dollars with air mail postage included)

Play Asia is fast to basically everywhere in the world except Hawaii, so I never order from them. I order from a small shop in Machida who sends when they get (a day or two before release), so I often have games in my greasy paws a day or so after.

It's actually getting some decent praise. I saw it at the AOU show in the Fall, but didn't play it. I queued for well over an hour to play ESPII, and had just got off a plane. It looked fun enough, but I didn't have it in me.

Shadowlayer, Under Defeat is one of two recent releases by G.Rev, the team behind the well-recieved 2002 Dreamcast release BorderDown. It's a vertical scrolling shooter that, for comparison's sake, apparently plays somewhat similar to Zero Gunner 2.

 

No way mate. People in the UK complain about them all the time and the slow sods took over one and half weeks to ship something to me from Hong Kong !! I can send stuff to the UK withing 4 days which is 4 times as far.

I've had to change my prices for Under Defeat. New prices are slightly higher to cover the cost of the poster Still, I'm cheeper than Play Asia :nod:

Japan to Hawaii is 4 days sometimes. HK to Hawaii is 2 weeks. US people have nothing to say but praise about Play Asia... I know, b/c I asked a few times WTF was up w/ them taking forever. I guess if you're not in a good region, you're screwed. What're ya gonna do if you're in the UK though? Pay in GBP at some local shop and get fucked?

 

I use play-asia for most things. I expect to wait a week if it is just one dvd/cd I have ordered. Anything bigger can be up to two weeks. + one in ten things will be taxed at customs, putting them to 3 weeks.

But we don't have a lot of choice in the UK. At least I haven't had a bad experience with them as of yet.

Is it the exchange rate that is making this game so expensive? It looks appealing, but I simply don't want to shell out 80 bucks for a dreamcast shooter.

Guys I read somewhere on Sega's page that Under Defeat will be the last Dreamcast game to be released !!! Now that's what I think it says but maybe Warakai or GaijinPunch would like to take a look?
