I am looking for information about the MEGA LD games released for the Pioneer LaserActive system (+MEGADRIVE add-on). Any pictures/links would be greatly appreciated, along with any indications about rarity and price. Does anyone own any of the games?or the device+module?

I should have probably PMed Yakumo, since it's a SEGA subject, but I guess there's a lot of people who wanna know more about it ;-)

The info I have so far:

Actually I'D like to know more about it. I knew the infor that you posted but that's about it. I'Ve always wanted to see videos of this running  A few months ago I saw one of these units in Hard Off that I was so tempted to buy. The only problem was that it was a complete mess with a broken disc tray and knacked laser (lazer?) plus they wanted too much for it :banghead:

I own all of them, though i still didn't made a pic of 5-6 LA titles (but not all are Mega LDs, most of them are LD-Rom 2..Vajra 2,Angel Mate,Blue Chicago Blues,Billusion Minayo Watanabe...Road Blasters/Road Prosecutor, Back to the Edo,Dr Paolo no Totteoki Video,3D Virtual Australia are Mega LD though, and JB Harodl Blue Chicago Blues exist in Mega LD AND LD-Rom2 form)

    Here:

    Or here:

(You can see 17 different Mega LDs together)

Unfortunately i don't have running videos to propose

There was a 6 page feature on LaserActive in EDGE #7. It's reprinted in issue 1 of EDGE's FILE magazine which is out now.

My personal module. Previous owner dissassembled it at some point and didn't take the screw out before putting the case on, thus cracking it. I've got the manual in an unopened plastic envelope with something for 3D glasses that hooks into the LaserActive.

Tried offering it for sale but noone would take the bait until I offered it elsewhere so it's been spoken for unless someone wants to beat what he offered.

    Thanks!
I'll try to make pics of more of them when i have time ( Famicom Disk system, N64, etc..)

I finally just managed to put pics of my MSX & X68000 collection as well, but it didn't let me do it until today!

I still have many "far from complete" collections, like GBA, PS1, PS2, Saturn, Famicom, Japanese PC, hardware,etc..

Adol, how many Saturn games do you have? I'm up to 800 odd now yet stil have quite a lot to get. THere are 100's of adventure games that I just can't bring myself to buy as well as a few sport titles. I guess I'll leave those till last.

I "only" have like 450 Saturn titles..it is not my priority,if you ask me today i'd say i'd NEVER buy those 1200 titles.
But this si the only games i need for possessing all Sega Games on all systems (excepting SG-1000 before Mark III,and Pico)!

Just how rich are you :icon_bigg

I don't even want to know what you paid for some of that stuff.

Buffi, I think we have our winner. ASSEMbler in the development section, and Adol in the commercial one :p

(Yakumo probably owns half of SEGA by now anyway, so I won't mention him :p )

Except those 750 Saturn missing games,i own all games ever made for a Sega system since Mark III: Mark III,Game Gear,Megadrive,Mega CD,32X,Dreamcast. (I don't count Pico hehe)
I could be interested in SG-1000 but some games (Space Slalom,Pachinko) are over 80000 Yens each!! :(

If i have money maybe in the next years, i'll try to get all Saturn games, but it's hard, life has a cost, and even if i spend all my money in video games, there are still other bills to pay ;(

Strangely, i'm not at all into developping stuff, only in video games, because i find it a "no end quest": there's always a new "undiscovered" thing to seek,to find...and when you find it,you realize there is ANOTHER prototype and you damn want it! :)

Complete collections are well "defined",i have a goal to reach,i know what missing games i need and i'm delighted when i achieve it.

    Now i go on PC Engine forums,on Sega forums,on Nintendo forums..I'm not a Nintendo fanboy,Sega Fanboy,or SNK fetishist :)
I'm a "multi-platform" collector, and i'm interested in all video games (BUT,i'm not that fond of sony, because i love 8-16 bit era WAY more than 32 and upper one)

Adol, when it comes to Saturn hardware and software, Yakumo would be the person to talk to. I think he owns what you crave.
