I've got the JPN version of Deep Fear. The spoken dialogue is in English, but all the text is in Japanese. It's almost playable if you have enough nihongo literacy, but I didn't have enough to make it through the menus.
Same, I have it and played through half of it. I think I paid like 50 bucks for it too a long long time ago. I think it was one of those things you had to be there for, but the voices and stuff were cool.
at that time, they just tried to simulate the reality with the available hardware as much as possible. nowadays they do just the same but with different hardware.
To OP seems this is an old rumor, quotes taken from 2007.... http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3164614
I was surprised they didn't release BR2 on the Dreamcast. Yuji Naka definitely had a sequel in mind back in 1998.
Yuji Naka once said Burning Rangers would not feature characters with sequential numbers just in case there was demand for a sequel, leaving room to introduce new faces later on. With the admission from Takashi Iizuka that he doesn't own the rights to BR, I'm guessing that honour belongs to original designer Naoto Ohshima and the actual license is controlled by Sega. Whatever the case, Sonic Team needs to reconsider its stance on resurrecting further classics for a quick profit after the relative commercial and critical failure of NiGHTS' return... not to mention Sonic's continuing fall from grace!
Too right on Sonic. I bought the last one for Wii, you know the one set in the days of the round table. What a load of shit! Looks very nice but it's so boring to play. So boring in fact that I've not even bothered to complete it. Yakumo
