SegaRaceTV and R Tuned are indeed both complete shit. No idea why they made those. The last modern good racer Sega made was Out Run 2.
The thing about Daytona cabinets is that, like some people said, they are busted, I played one during summer and the steering wheel was completly borken, it was almost impossible to use it, so if SEGA is going to re release Daytona on modern hardware that is perfect for me, it might even bring some life back into the arcades!
Yes, the last great arcade games by Sega were OutRun 2 and AfterBurner Climax. Initial D series is good too. Apart from those, we have to go back in time to find games like Crazy Taxi, F355 Challenge, ...
Im satisfied. Not AS satisfied as I could be, but it's better news than nothing. What IS it with some arcade operators? It's hard for me to spend money on your machines when shit doesn't work. The all the lame excuses for arcades around here (bowling alleys, a sports park thing or two, a pool hall or two) have the worst condition games you could imagine. I shat my pants a few months ago when I found a place with Strikers 1945 in it, but then the monitor was either completely burned dead or WAY out of adjustment. Unplayable. Never got fixed, now that place is closed. Then, Virtual On in a mall, and one of the sticks wouldn't work right. Never got fixed. Balls! Balls, I tell you!
