Ah, well I read it in various sources but it wasnt backed up by anything... perhaps you're right... but that still leaves the question why Treasure didnt program it themselves? Didnt they do some PSX games before?
I don't have any other info on it than that. I'm still in contact with the guy (he's still working where I used to work) so I'll drop it by him and see what he says. The reason Activision passed on it is b/c they said they wouldn't sell more than 40,000 in the states, and they wouldn't make their money back. I suppose it's very possible Treasure was working on a JPN PS1 release at the same time though. Kind of an interesting story. On a simliar not, Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru was scheduled for the Playstation at one point, and got cut.
My Saturn experience is sortof limited, as I'm just getting started, but I have a few games to toss in: Donpachi/DoDonpachi - freaking crazy vertical shooters, hard as hell but super rewarding when you finally beat stage 1 without dying. ^__^ Twinbee Deluxe Pack - It may look cutesy, but it's a lot of fun, plus it contains the original Detana! Twinbee and Twinbee Yahoo! Nightwarriors/Darkstalkers/Vampire Hunter/Vampire Savior/whatever - Capcom's awesome fighting game using various monsters and such. Downright hilarious and offers the same depth as the Street Fighter series (has mostly the same moves too - this could be a plus or a minus, depending on how you look at it) Everyone's said Panzer Dragoon, no need to mention it again, I assume :smt019 Dead Or Alive - Despite gravity-defying jubblies, this is actually a fairly fun and deep fighter Dungeons And Dragons Collection - Capcom's fantastic side-scrolling dungeon slasher. Yes, it's spendy, and I only have the *cough* Backup *cough*.... :axe: (piracy police in action) but if you can track it down, it's well worth it. And that's about all for right now. Good luck! :smt040
