Now this has me worried... I bought a few games from someone on eBay (hit-japan) and now I'm wondering if he swaps them... Damn it! (1 << 8) posts.
I dont recall getting a wrong case from him. But I never bought much saturn stuff from that store because I want my Saturn games as mint as possible and he usually use stock photos
hit-japan? I haven't found a single stock photo at all. Or you mean the same image for multiple copies of the game?
Pretty much. But its like, some times he lists a game and describes being a C or D condition, and have an old photo of a perfect one for it. He often does that except for rarer games.
I've bought quite a few Saturn games from game of japan (hit-japan). His eBay store has photos and their site is stock photos, it really bothers me.
I've had a few bad experiences with Hit-Japan. They indeed have their own "stock photos" of some of their items. So when you buy something from them it may or may not be what you saw in the photo. Also, their grading is a bit off at times, and they sometimes have no problem stuffing regular Famicom or Super Famicom games in normal bubble wrap letters, but yet they sometimes pack a single not so valuable Megadrive game inside a proper cardboard box with lots of bubblewrap. Their service simply isn't consistent and reliable.
Is hit-japan the same thing as Gameofjapan? My main problem with them is that their Saturn games usually don't have spine cards, but they're still listed as complete on the site.
@TheRedKnight Their services are indeed inconsistent. I bought a used Yoshi Island last month from them and got a brand new game, and sometimes its the opposite. I think it probably have to do with whom listed and/or packaged the items, as its clearly not a one person store Yes, its the same seller.
Its not like you will get a game falling apart. But you might get a little disapointed if youre expecting a mint game like the pictures show some times
Yeah I bought a super famicom game from them a while ago, got here a few days ago. Most of the materials were a bit more warn then they graded, and they packed it without the proper cardboard box. So the little plastic cartridge holder got a bit squished. Still holds inside the box fine, but yeah more care could be taken.
^Shameless self plug haha Jokes apart, I definitely recommend Yakumo's Store for Saturn fans, most games I got were like brand new. (Still waiting for the customs bastards deliver my last package... XP)
You guys should have seen the copy of VF Kids I got from Hit-Japan. The case was bursting from its seams because it was stuffed with various pages ripped from game magazines, all featuring previews, reviews and movelists for the game.. That purchase proved to me that Hit-Japan doesn't always look inside the cases. This is why these days I only buy items that they've listed as Brand New.
I think I lucked out. Except for Choro Q... The case seems... too new. Puyo Puyo Sun (from another seller) looks pretty bad. I might buy another copy. Yakumo, will you have Policenauts in complete form any time soon?
