You mean the 480p mode is MUSE encoded (which two lines?) and not viewable on anything but a Hi-vision TV or monitor with MUSE decoder? How did the homebrewers ever test on real hardware?

Lol, But seriously thanks for all the info. I guess no surprise of the pinball games since they were all just pre-rendered "backgrounds" in a way. The jackpot graphics for the digital pinball games are definitely lower res than background, very pixelated when compared to the playing table
I bet the farm it's just plain 525p ie "VGA" since true Hi-vision is 1125i, and AFAIK there's no way to fill that much screen.
