    I've got this setup for the Playstation 1 parallel port (Xploder FX + X-Assist), didn't know there was a similar thing for the Saturn too.

    Was it made by Blaze too?

    I tried to get one of those for years but they always cost a lot of money when ever they show up on Yahoo. It's basically an Action Replay Pro BUT with the ability to find codes on the fly or so my japanese friend explained a few years back. One of these would be fantastic for opening up Saturn beta discs.

    I just came across this topic. Yes, for most of the older ARP cartridges, you may add a 74HC245 and a 25-pin connector to the circuit board, & get it working.

    HOWEVER....

    I opened up an ARP cart for modification today. When I opened it up, to my surprise, they have changed the circuit board design radically. They completely got rid of the ability to add a communication connector. See here for a look at the difference (the new board rev is on the left).

    This is very discouraging. I didn't think that they sold enough of these to warrant doing a pcb re-design, but I was wrong.
