    Hi everyone,

I have a Saturn with a Sanyo 610-6185-30 CD board, and the connector between it and the trapboard (171-7412C) broke, and so I am trying to bridge the two back together.

The single wire I believe connects to R207 on the CD board; as there are two pins on the trapboard, which is the correct one?

    Thanks!

Moved to the repairs section - the console specific sections are more for programming.

    Photo?

    My apologies for that!

Here are photos of both the CD drive and the trapboard.

That wire is just power - If you have the trap board with the top face upwards and the 2-pin connector at the bottom then the wire goes on the left pin (I.E. the pin closest to the "CN3" text)

    Thanks a lot, TriMesh!

Any ideas what the trapboard is for, as everything works just fine even if I directly connect the CD drive to the motherboard via the 21-pin cable?
