Hey guys I have a dilemma, I opened up my Saturn to take some measurements on the underside of the mother board and while I had it open I decided to install 2 pin headers on the power and Signal lines on the Racketboy Modchip and have 2 sockets on the Power wires soldered to the 5v power pin and another from the 32pin IC pin14 signal line. This is a model 2 and now the Saturn won't read any disc at all, all it does is show 2 green cubes on either side and the disc does spin and sounds like it's seeking but the animation on the middle of the screen lags and moves super slow. There is the message saying Checking Disc Format but it never reads the disc and once I open the cover or let go of the CD Lid button everything moves at normal pace again. I have tried reseating the chip, removing the chip and the problem still persists, I have also tried reseating the ribbon and same shit. The only thing I did that might have caused this was desolder the pin14 signal wire while I was adding the socket to it and used a cheap iron that gets really hot and maybe burned a pad or trace or possibly damaged the IC, I was too lazy to go in the basement to use my rework station.
