How much is it worth, for a best case scenario where it's complete in box?

I can't find any recent info about sales prices (other than the RRP in wikipedia, not sure if it reflects inflaction or not), information about it is scarce and couldn't find any prices from concluded sellings be it ebay or forums. If you do have more information on this, please share as I'm very curious about it.

    TIA,

Very very hard to put a price on this item I think. Ultimately, something is worth however much someone else is willing to pay for it. The thing about SC-3000 hardware is, there seem to be a very limited number of people who care about it. To a collector who's searching far and wide for mint-condition SC-3000 items, if they have the cash to pursue it, they'd probably pay quite a sum for an item like that. The thing is, with demand being low, it could be a long time before that particular collector comes your way.

To put it in other terms, how much is a mint-condition SP-400 worth to me? Unless I knew I could re-sell it, about $5. It's just not an item I care about acquiring. The item is rare for sure, but the demand just isn't there. That makes it a bit of a buyers market. If you have the one and only mint-condition SP-400 up for sale on the open market, and you don't care about moving it quickly, you could leave it listed somewhere like ebay for a high price, possibly allowing offers, waiting for that right collector to come along, but I'd expect to have to be in it for the long haul.

It's also not especially interesting because it's just an ALPS 4-color printer plotter with "Sega" screen printed on it - they didn't even bother changing the plastics. There were several of them made for different companies, but the only one I can remember right now is the Oric MCP-40.
