New SEGA console would be great, though we're probably talking about software only here. Or maybe a new arcade platform who knows?
A Sega console emulator sounds like a good idea as long as the prices aren't as ridiculous as the ones on Virtual Console.
It is. You can get games on GOG that are infinitely more advanced and better value for money than about 99% of the NES library for $5.99. Plus the VC games give you no advantages compared to just emulating them for free, unlike PSN and XBLA releases of older games.
Do yo know what would be so amazing is if Sega made a stand alone console like the Neo Geo Gold (but not as shit as that. That console is awful in every respect from image quality to emulation) which could play all of their System 32, Model 1, 2, 3 games and more. I'd be well up for that. They could sell game packs on cards like the Neo Geo gold. Oh man, I couldn't tell you how fast I'd be in like for such a system.
Sega would continue to tap into their old repertoire for years to come. The only realistic chance of Sega launching a new platform in this era of relative austerity and market consolidation is by merging with a multinational corporations such as Apple or Samsung. Otherwise don't bother about speculating anything.
It's obviously a non elaborated fake from a troll of NeoGAF. There's no sense of including the CMYK colors used in print for a digital product or service. Besides there's no more info in this two weeks filled of speculations.
Actually, it would make sense if it wasn't for a digital product at all, but instead either something for the printing business, or perhaps a link of books/magazines or something. I'm still in the camp that thinks its fake because of the font thing.
Fuck it, at this point it might be for the better, apple and samsung have a certain reputation to keep and would add pressure for sega to return to the good old days everybody wants back rather than play on the same league than zynga
