still alive more awake than i was a hour ago. cleaning up after the dog seems to haven given me some energy
I don't know about any studies, it's just something I had results with myself. I had sleep issues in the past and someone recommended zinc. I tried it and it made me dream pleasantly, not waking up in the middle of the night. I didn't use any other supplements during that period.
right i went to bed at 11 last night and just woke up about a hour ago so i think im fixedish even though i feel very very ill today and still havent completly made it out of bed. but im awake and sat upright in light so i should be alright

Man, I'm glad I don't need an alarm clock anymore! For years now I am consistently waking up before my phone's alarm clock goes off. With two exceptions so far, one alcohol induced coma and the other time I was awake for some 30hrs before going to bed.
This! Everything is a habit. You must go to sleep every day almost the same hour. At first will be very difficult, but then you'll get used to it...
When I was student, experimenting the same problems you do, couple of respiration exercices helped me much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvtx62lUho0 Doing this 10 minutes before the time I wanted to go to bed (because, for instance, I HAD to sleep 7 hours for an important exam ^^) was the insurance to sleep well. Hope it will work for you as it worked for me
im semi fixed now im about 2 hours out of what i should be and im exauseted all the time but it will sort its self properly when i have a proper reason to get out of bed
ok this is not cool i got up at 9am yesterday and tried to go to bed at midnight and i cant sleep... 2 hours trying and nothing this is balls errgghh why cant i sleep properly when i want
Takes time for your body to adjust. Mine will probably take a month because I sleep at 5 AM and get up a 2 PM  Not very healthy at all.
