Hello all, I made this video a month ago, wasn't really happy with it (Kept saying Daggerfall, lol).
But hey, the gameplay footage is the important part, so here we go.
This is a G2.0 (Beta) cartridge of The Elders Scrolls Shadowkey, produced a couple months before release. This is a huge game, so I know I'm only showing the tip of the iceberg, but if there's any noticeable differences to you let me know. If you have the retail game for sale for not an insane price also let me know, so I can compare as well.

I'd say dump it first but I'm more amazed that an Ngage is even being used.

Lol, what's involved in dumping it, sticking it in my computer and dragging the files? Be nice to preserve it I guess.

Also, you're talking about the dude with a Virtual Boy inspired avatar, I wouldn't get too surprised =P

Yes, I believe that's still the best we can do these days. Well, maybe instead of just copying the naked files, try to make an image of the card with WinHex or whatever... Unfortunately, a backup made this way won't run on retail phones (no idea about dev kits), at least until someone gets around to cracking it, so it's far from perfect...

    edit: here's a tutorial

Hi mate, the difference between this and the retail version are huge. The framerate on the beta versions were like 1000 times better. Btw do you have an overclocked n-gage or not?

The framerate is better in the beta? I still haven't managed to find a retail copy of the game for a decent price..
No it's just a regular ol N Gage.

I remember back in the day people shared a rar called shadowkeyfix and it was a beta version of Shadowkey and I remember it ran much better than the retail version.

Huh, that's very interesting, thanks for the info. Funny the fix was just use the beta version :p

The one in the video was free, just shipping cost. It was from the free thread on this forum actually :)

My QD was a refurb I think I paid 30 or 40 bucks on ebay.

I've been wanting to get one for novelty purposes and I just haven't gotten around to doing so. With tax returns and bonuses coming shortly I hope to be able to snag one soon.

I'm sure you can find one for a good price. If you really want last time I checked there was a prototype one on ebay.

Interesting video, I have always been intrigued by the N-Gage Elder Scrolls games.

Prototype units on Ebay typically are demo units, which dont save and cant be run from battery, among other issues.
