wait, so that metroid prime edition has some sort of name plate? i thought it was just a silver one with prime packed in.

  2. In the US, the Metroid pack had the silver GC. Over here in the UK, we got a black GC with Metriod, and the silver version came in the Zelda boxset.

  3. Yeah, as SFNYK said, the US Metroid Prime "Limited Edition" is just a stock Platinum Gamecube, but in Europe they got this:

Please note the Metroid Prime nameplate (replaces the disc on top with the Gamecube logo) that we neither got here in the US, nor are newer Gamecubes like mine (did I mention no digital out port?) even capable of having the nameplate replaced.

So how come you haven't gone out and bought that set yet, crissybwoy?

I don't think our US version comes with a faceplate though.

I love the Nintendo Gamecube and cherish my panny q with all the love it deserves, lately though there hasn't been much in the way of quality software for the system but all of Nintendo's first party offereings are an absolute must for the system....pure class.

GSL, I hope you were joking about the Zelda comment, otherwise your talking out of your ass my friend. All the 3d zelda's are a testament to great games design and a must to any gamer's collection.

Oh get the Maximo games for your ps2 as well. :smt023

The gamecube is indeed a fantastic machine it's the most played one out of my collection nowdays.

Everyone should sample the delights that the cube has to offer. There's tons of high quality games out there just waiting to be played.

It's a bit slow with games releases over here in pal land but thats easily solved with a freeloader. Im still trying to fill the gaps in my gc collection there's still loads more to get :smt023

Hopefully my crystal white gamecube will arrive to me soon so i can have a gamecube white christmas. :smt043

Until then i just have this pic to look at.

Apologys for posting it again but im still excited about getting one for so cheap :prayer:

  11. Let me assure you that when I state my own personal and very valid opinions on a subject, I am in truth never talking out of my ass. The phrase tends to suggest that someone is unfamiliar with the subject that they are addressing, and can be likened to the the popular vernacular "bullshitting." I, however, am very familiar with my own dislikes, and therefore can and do with much regularity express my opinions concerning them honestly - in essence, no out-of-ass talking ever occurs. To falsify or exaggerate my own opinions would serve no useful purpose for me, and in fact could be indicitave of some sort of lingering, dormant psychosis or possibly a brain tumor. So rest assured, when I say that I thought the latest three Zelda offerings were mediocre at best, I meant it with all the honesty and sincerity that my opinions allow, and that I was not bullshitting you in even the slightest.

I dunno, I think Link Kinda looked like a powerpuff girl in Wind Waker.
Never been much of an N64 gamer (other than Starfox) - but I liked the N64 Zelda games. They were pretty cool for the system they were made for.
BUT, indeed, Link to the Past is one of the most magnificent videogames ever created, and it's definitely the best in the Zelda series.

I thought N64 Ocarina of Time is the second best game I've ever played. Just plain awesome.

Majora's Mask was crap. Never got into Link to the Past at all...I tried, but I just didn't like it all that much. :-(
