I think I know about FF11 online I was in the beta so theres no need to post the pic and if you had read my post it would have said theres no plans to bring any kind of FF game to the 360 at the moment which would be like now not FF11 as it's in the past. So no game set match. I don't want to start a fight on here since its such a great place.
Dude I know your a hard core 360 fanboy (I own one my self and was a huge supporter of xbox 1 last gen) but seriously think here. Microsoft had to pull tooth and nail out to get FF11 on their platform after it already had been on ps2 & pc for a while. Second Blue Dragon had piss poor sales in japan. Final Fantasy 13 will sell far better in japan (Squares most important target market) then it will on the 360. I can bet you right if Blue Dragon were on ps2/ps3/wii it would have sold many more copies in japan then it did. Squares only 360 title at the moment made them go out and license unreal engine vs porting their own White Engine to 360 to accomplish the game. That already shows they are not looking to port FF13 to 360 any time soon. Lastly, if Final fantasy's main series were to go to any other platform it would be Wii since the project sales on the Wii will also far exceed sales on the 360. Please for the love of god can you cut back on some of the blantant fanboyism. Its just going to piss off alot of people here quickly. :fresh:
Doesn't matter I'm not an RPG Fan to begin with. but last I heard Blue Dragon for 360 sold very very well and also spiked 360 sales a little bit. It did well enough to get an Anime too.
Can I do another poll of 'Do you think more Wii's will be bought for Grandparents then gamers this christmas'? 'Is it too late to get anything decent return on your $1000 Playstation?' I bought a PS3 as it intrested me far more then the 360 and Wii, I have a 360 now but I didn't buy the thing and I still have RR6 and Perfect Dark still sealed and wrapped. Give it a while and the games will come and the Ninty fanboys will be waxing lyrical on how the PS3 is dooooomed (to be said in a broad scotlish accent...).
yes sell it for what you can. If games get better you can always rebuy it. Might even get a brand new one for less than you sell your for if it takes long enough. We have to know a price drop is in the near future.
Between my roommate and myself, we have all three systems, and I can honestly say that I am quite happy with all of them. We use the PS3 more for Bluray and DVD than games though...
I think it is far too early to say anything. Did the Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360 have a smattering of must-have titles within their first ~year? Some gems, but maybe not what you'd expect. There's still a lot of time left --- Lair, Killzone 2, RE5, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, etc... Keep dreaming. The PS3 and Wii will show their truer colors with time.
The Xbox had Halo:CE at launch and it was literally enough to hold me over until Halo 2. We had lan parties relgiously. i knew a lot of people that bought an Xbox just for Halo. Not just to play through the campaign but for the multiplayer experience. Will someone buy a PS3 just for FFXIII? Maybe the diehard fans. But after you spend however many hours playing through it, then what? You can't take your PS3 over to your friends house and play each other. It's like a $700 game. All I keep hearing is MGS4 and FFXIII. Is it worth buying a PS3 for these? Wouldn't it just be easier to find a friend that has them and play them at their house? As for the Wii, i'm there as soon as Brawl and Galaxy come out.
Umm. The Anime deal was signed before the game even went on sale along with the Manga comic. http://vgchartz.com/japtotals.php?name=blue+dragon&maker=&console= Yes VGCharts is not an amazing site but their game sale numbers are not that far off (console sale numbers are always off tho). 1Blue DragonX360Microsoft188,530 Thats horible for japan. Hell freaking Final Fantasy Tactics port to psp outsold blue dragon weeks ago and it's only a month old. Anything on the 360 is bound to have poor sales in japan. Even still for a big of a name this game is, it would have vastly sold far more copies on the wii or ps3.
If you're looking to make money off of a PS3, then yes, you should sell it, because next to nobody wants one and its price is only going to plummet until it hits some sweet spot where people will think its worth it. For it certainly isn't worth $600. Its biggest upcoming titles are a remake of a remake of a game that came out 3 years ago, a multiplayer only download, and Rogue Squadron with dragons. In so far as MGS, well, the new Splinter Cell is exclusive to 360, so... each console has its exclusive "stealth" game. In so far as Final Fantasy XIII and its planned 20 iterations, erm... I'd rather get Blue Dragon than the latest and greatest from the people that brought us Final Fantasy X-2.
There isn't that much on the 360 for the Japanese at this time though... much like most people with the PS3, I don't think the people in Japan will be wanting a few hundred dollar console for one game. I would certainly hope that by the time the likes of Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Cry On, etc. come out more people over there would be willing to give the gaijin console a chance. No, Blue Dragon didn't sell one bajillion copies like FF or Dragon Quest, but selling 100,000 360s is pretty damn impressive in Japan...
I'd give the console some more time, at least till it receives its second wave of games. I didn't find anything worth playing on the X360's first year and now is the machine I use the most. I'll get myself a PS3, but after two bad experiences with launch consoles (my first X360 died, and I didn't find a single launch game interesting for me on the Wii) I decided to wait for a price drop, which it seems could be sooner than I expected. On the games side, I believe a MGS4 port for 360 will be announced, even if it's after it is released on PS3. FFXIII I find it more difficult. I've just read Shinji Hashimoto has said there are no FF games planned for X360 for now.
Not got one yet, but is a cheap Blu Ray player even if you buy it for that only. But even then not many Blu Ray movies out. How many of your £20+/$40+ movies do you watch more than once/twice in the first week or so of purchase and then collect dust for ever, just like VHS/BetaMax/DVD`s are/have done. No games that want me want/need to buy one yet Don`t think there will be for a while, but also the price is a BIG draw back £400 ouch and not even a damn game If you sell it now you may be better off buying another in a year when the price should have gone down, "home" is up and running and will be a move proven or not product and some more AAA (hopefully) games
If you have a PS3 already and could get your money back on it, I'd sell it and wait for the price to drop if you aren't using it enough to justify having it yourself. But it depends on the person. The PS3 isn't so much of a disaster as people make it out to be, it's just that expectations were for it to slaughter everything else and that's just not true. Give the PS3 some time to mature and a price cut and it'll start looking better. I mean come on, you know eventually you'll end up owning a PS3. I wasn't thinking I'd ever buy a PS2 when I heard it was a 300$ system but years later it was half that and I grabbed it. I'd take a PS3 for 300$, not a ripoff like the Wii at 250$. Atleast you know it cost them something to make the PS3.
Since the Dreamcast launch buying a new console from the start is like buying the latest graphic accelerator. It's expensive, the games aren't better and you've definately as good as no benefit. Better wait for a bunch of good games and a nice console - game bundle and enjoy your old stuff as long as possible. For the PS3 i'm sure it won't be as sucessfull as PSone and PS2 - but it will get a nice marketshare and is definately no crap.
Square says the only FF title in the works for Wii is a new Crystal Chronicles game and there's also one coming for DS. Apparently CC is intended to be a sub-franchise exclusive to Nintendo platforms. As for the PS3, when's the last time you saw any console make its debut along with a slew of killer launch titles? Just relax and wait.
Please post more AntiPasta I've never really been interested in the Playstation 3 to begin with. It would be nice to own one, but not $600 nice.
To be honest, at the moment, the PS3 does kinda suck right now... there's R:FOM, F.E.A.R. and Motorstorm (i don't do sports games, so i don't know about those). In addition, none of us is about to start replacing our DVD collections with Blu-Ray, but we may start buying Blu-Ray versions instead, but again, that's not a fast process. I will say however, that it seems come August, things will pick up, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Devil May Cry 4, Assasins Creed (well, november), Ninja Gaiden and of course God Of War III. It just seems like the PS3 got off to a slow start, REAL SLOW... but i think it can and will get substantially better.
