this seller has the Nintendo Vidpro display card of Sim City http://www.ebay.com/itm/190650610531 this means the game should have been quite far in development... anyone has any info or scans?
If I remember right that article made it sound as though Nintendo Power themselves still have the cartirdge.
Are there any pictures of it? The SNES version is my favorite SimCity to date, and I'm curious what the NES version would've looked like.

Forgive me this necro, but maybe better the starting a new thread. I got involved into a discussion about SimCity on the NES not long ago. The usual googling revealed nothing new. It is known that the Prototype cartridge had been found by Scott Pelland in 2005, which never ended up as a ROM on the internet. http://lostmedia.wikia.com/wiki/SimCity_(Unreleased_1991_NES_Port) At 0:50 the guy starts playing Sim City on the NES : Many "screenshots" : http://lost-games.wikia.com/wiki/SimCity Scott Pelland on gamasutra: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/ScottPelland/872225/ So, we know there is a prototype cartridge. Here is some fanmade NES SimCity music with additonal photos : I contacted Mr. Pelland via google+. Any reply is appreciated and will be posted here.
