Pot meet Kettle, Kettle meet Pot. There, now you know eachother. You're okay with opiates, but you despise Ambien... Way to go there Dr. teamos.. If you lie in bed, watching the hallucinations above you all night, that's your personal preference. However, being the hypnotic it is, you can fairly easily convince yourself of being tired. Yawn once and you'll remember why you were there to begin with. And about the REM-reducerâ„¢, sure, there are reports of everything floating around. I know I get adequate REM sleep on it. What about GHB? I know a few people who are proscribed that for sleep related issues.:drink:
same here. Normally get to bed at 1am then wake up at 7am Weekend though it's 3am to bed and 11am wakeup  i don't think I've ever had a sleep problem. I even take a nap in the afternoon during lunch time.
That's what's weird for me. I could usually fall asleep in the afternoon around 3, but even if I resist the urge to nap I am unable to sleep later that night. I become physically exhausted and just cannot sleep. By this time most nights I'd have gone for a run, but it's snowing now and I'm not interested in slipping and breaking my head open.
Um.... first of all, I never said I "despise" Ambien. Second, Ambien is not an opiate. Not even close. It's loosely related to benzodiazepines. I'm not really sure how you connected those two in my post, other than both of them being drugs. I've slept with Ambien before, but it was never a good sleep, and there are hundreds of reports of people sleepwalking (or sleepdriving) on it. Try reading a bit more before attacking someone's post. Also, learn some grammar. "Pot" and "kettle" are not proper nouns. Bravo on the clichéd idiom, though. OP: Drugs are a bad idea for sleep aid. Period. I thought I mentioned this in my last post but I guess I didn't. If you're having serious problems going to sleep, you should probably go see a doctor.
Lately I've not been able to get my proper hours of sleep. My anxiety medication is working, because when I take it I start feeling drousy and sleepy a couple of hours later. However, I get to bed and turn and turn without any results, and I always end up falling asleep after 5 in the morning. I've turned to combine the anxiety meds with some muscle relaxers, that tend to get me sleepy, but the results are the same. I guess I am too stressed out right now to even get sleep.
I used to suffer from this and it turned out to be stress. I bought some sleeping pills from the chemist and they did help me sleep although i did suffer with a dry mouth when i woke up and my body got used to them so before i knew it i was back to square one. I suggest trying something that relaxes you. I usually read before i go to sleep or think about something that i find relaxing. Also talk to your doctor if needs be.
It's a matter of period i think. I'm actually in transition, i mean i quit my job and i'm gonna live in another country soon, i'm excited and stressed at the same time so i believe it's good reasons that trouble the sleep. Time and patience are important to relieve such troubles, you won't get results in 2 weeks. Once you'll reach a more favorable period in your life you'll probably won't notice that sleep and other joys came back...
