    Sooooooo....

I got 2 Mad Catz Fightsticks to play SF IV with since I'd rather have a stick.
They felt ok...for 20 minutes then as I got used to the stick the more I felt that if I so much as sneezed on them they'd fall apart.

I COULD mod them but that's another $100 I don't have right now.

I'm returning them to Amazon but now I'm stuck without arcade sticks having to play Street Fighter IV on the standard 360 pad at only 1/3 my skill to make matters EVERYPLACE is sold out of the Hori Sticks (Real Arcade and EX2)

    So...

My Kingdom for a Good Arcade stick!

Um, dude... rare? 360 arcade sticks? really?!?!

Incidentally, why didn't you mention until your THIRD paragraph for WHICH console you want an arcade stick?? C'mon, that should be in the title!!

Is this the official licensed SF FightStick you're talking about?

    http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=137876

    Hori did the VF stick

    http://www.bmcdigital.co.uk/catalog/view/hori-ex2-fighting-stick-for-xbox-360?froogle

Or wait for XArcade to be given the go-ahead by MS.

Only other alternative really is to hack one with proper arcade sticks and some MDF or something ;-)

    x-arcade suffers from massive lag.

Best bet is to buy a hori pro it's worth every penny.

The Madcatz sticks got loads of negative feedback lately. Perhaps SEGA should release some decent 360 sticks..

I would but I can't subject others to their suckiness. Plus I think if they're sneezed on they'll stop working.

How's this end up in rare and obscure?
Well, I guess finding arcade sticks is Rare now.

How are the Hori Sticks? I'm thinking of picking those up once restocked.

lol in gameinformer the madcatz sticks beat the new hori arcade pro in they're review.

personally i'd never buy another madcatz product, they've always felt really cheap. but who knows if they've gotten better i haven't bought one of their products since 2002

My experience with Madcatz hasnt been pleasant either. I had a couple Madcatz mem cards for PS1 and PS2 and all of them stopped working after a while, IIRC the one that lasted the longest lasted about a year.

Yeah OXM gave the SE sticks a favorable review too. I don't have the tournament sticks which are supposed to be good (They use sanwa parts) I have the other ones.

But for all the shit about Mad Catz I DO like their Rock Band bass granted I only used it for a short time so it probably sucks after a few hours.

THE BEST STICKS EVER are MAS and they are made for 360 but they're crazy expensive.

I have mas sticks. Highly over rated. Too expensive.
T-molding is sharp and not level with the top and cuts you.
Bolts that hold the stick in place are not sunken or smooth,
they have rough edges that tear at the hands.

Do what i do. Make your own. Take that PCB you got in those sticks, and go on SRK and ask someone for a case.

    MAS sticks = over rated.

    xarcade = over rated.

anything mass produced will have flaws. You want a prisitine peice.

You could bang in nails into a wall using nothing but your head as it would work, so remember that the next time you don't have a hammer.

By and far the WORST stick ever is the Ascii Fighting ST God that thing blew. Or was Ascii Stick FT?

    this is it here

The Cards I still have.....the stick broke and was thrown out.
