snes bad apu help

    Hi to everyone I have a snes here used my snes burn-in test cart I have apu fail
    Any ideas what chip I must replace it's a pal console.

    It's hard to single it down to one chip - that "APU" error basically means "one of the chips in the sound module". Except I've never seen a PAL SNES with a sound module in it - they all have the chips on the main board instead.

    They are the chips behind the cartridge socket on the right size of the board (S-DSP, S-SMP and a pair of SRAM chips) - there is also a DAC (little 16 pin NEC chip), but I doubt that's the problem - from what I can remember, if that goes bad the tests pass but you just don't hear anything.
