SNK prices ?

  1. Yeah, I'd love a cab, but my house isn't big enough. And the missus would beat me if I turned up a home with a Neo cab. And it's nice sitting on the comfy sofa playing Metal Slug.

But yeah, one day I'll have a big house and a 6slot in a cab. One day.... :smt083

Why is everyone so desperate for an AES? Fuck, buy an xbox and you get one free- with an ass load of free games.

Some people have ethics, a collectors drive, dignity to name a few traits ;) Also some other people like moi don't believe software emulators fill that void... if some genius were to make a new gate-accurate hardware emulated Neo I'd be all for it.

Everybody is talking like the neo geo is sooo expensive!! It really isnt.. the prices have fallen recently on alot of the titles and if u dont have that much money to spend... go mvs.. Alot of the aes games are cheap too... I prefer a combination of the two myself... whatever i cant get on aes ill go with mvs... Do a simple mod to get a unibios... So u can choose between jap and american play. SOme games even come with the option to do so...

Also if u look at the market now... the really rare stuff will always stay up (Metal slug continues to rise... 2500+)... the other stuff will fall eventually... mvs stuff will always stay cheap because it is in abundance.

There isnt much else to worry about.

Indeed, I'll start with a claim to buying a mint Samurai Spirits for Y480 (or about £2.50 or some dollar amount, which I can't be arsed to work out...).

Depending on its features, 150€(bare board with controller ports onboard (like MV-1F) and Scart output only, no Unibios, everything soldered directly to the JAMMA connector, and no cosmetic touchups)~400€ (video encoder, Unibios, custom housing etc.).

Remember if seeking custom work, you'll need patience in addition to money. Few people take requests for one-off MVS consolize projects.

You keep saying that, but I just think you have just not asked the right people.

I know a couple of people here in the uk that do it and I just bought myself a Mvs to convert too (I wouldn't offer to do someone else's until I had done one of my own).

I just bought one for $335 incl shipping. Black 2 slots consolized MVS with unibios. Was that a fair price?

I was referring to people numerically, as opposed to saying I hadn't found someone myself.

Is this source reliable? Sounds like dead-new stock being the most probable cause.

Both the games and the system will remain among the priciest in video game collecting IMHO. If not I will buy the stuff up like crazy, promised.
