The Playstion one had some sort of twinsticks. Look here: http://curmudgeongamer.com/2005/10/ace-combat-and-dual-analog-flight.html Maybe one could get them to work on a PS2, I still have them flying around somewhere. Bought them for a little helicopter game where you had to maneuver RC copters around, was quite tricky.
I have that as well as smaller version(?) from Hori but don't think they will work like twinstick without some major mod~
Nope I didnt, I was the guy who said "...the irony was that this is the only game that I always had to play alone cuz nobody I know thought it was fun" So yeah the audience for VirtualON is kinda limited, but hey a lot of games on XBLA have seen some popularity thanks to online distribution. At $10 bucks and without having to get your pants on and drive to the nearest game store, who isnt going to try it?;-) There was a Netlink edition but never got to try it.
I think I've a vague idea of what I said in the past... And the Netlink used a server, it was the Xband on Genesis and Snes the one that dialed to the other player's house. That pretty much destroyed any hope of online gaming, basically becos if the other player was like in the exact opposite coast then your phone bill would be nothing short of astronomical...
