They could have a poke around and see if they can find some. Its amazing what companies find in warehouses years later.

Oh they've all been scanned, all of the 64DD letters (mostly apology), documents, etc. They're just sitting on my hard drive for that one day when I decide to update my site...heh.

If I can confirm that the address is Nintendo I just might send it in and see what kind of response I get. I don't want to waste the docs only to find out I sent it to some law office or something..heh

Print off clones and send them in on the attack to see what happens? They don't have to be anything fancy or silky smooth as it s the information which matters and it will leave you with the originals for your spank bank :)

The worst they can say is GTFO in which case you'd still have the originals anyway so :p

Yes, you'll definitely prefer to take a high-quality copy instead of the real thing o_O

I think they'll just apologize as Assembler said, but maybe they'll throw in some goodies. Nice, beautiful Wii flyers  ;)

I sent in an expired coupon for a free Super Mario All-Stars back in the SNES era and they still sent it out. Of course this is a much bigger time difference. ;)

I don't think I can do a copy. The sheets are carbons. If I do it, it has to be 100% real...heh. I'll ask my GF on Thursday to check the address and if it's still a Nintendo shop I'll give it a go.

I sent an email to Nintendo America a while back asking about a card set. I wanted to know if they had some kind of historian in Japan and I asked if they could give me some information. I got a response from an actual person, but it was just the link to the Nintendo Japan site. But still, actually getting a written response with some details was nice. Most large companies would just ignore an email like that.

If I were you I would keep an item like that, or sell it.

when I was a kid I used to email Noa@nintendo.com A LOT and I always got an ACTUAL response from a person. like I asked why I could play Japanese Gameboy games on my American Gameboy but not consoles. And he explained gameboys are for traveling so it's more likley for a situation like that to occur but also he went into detail about power differences, 50/60hz, PAL/NTSC...etc.

Yes, they repaired the Disk Drive belts until 2003 or so. I think 2003 was also the year they stopped manufacturing their "NEW Famicom", 20 years after the Famicom's initial release.

But I guess it's something different with an awkward approach to market domination like the N64DD :p One more Nintendo employee will commit suicide by seppuku when that letter arrives!

Well, you may as well give it a go - it'll be a good story, at least. :D

I was going through my stuff a few months ago and found an insert inside "Vigilante 8" for the N64 to sign up for some fan club of Activision to win free games and such

Of course it was old and the service was probably outdated, but I sent it in for shits n giggles.

    Unfortunately never received a response.

    横浜中央郵便局私書箱2号 220-8790

That's the address on the envelope.....but it doesn't appear to be a valid address for Nintendo anymore?
