I've sent in some old flyers from EA sports games. I never got a response.

I guess you could try sending it to a current customer support address.

A professor of mine from College used to do this. He was a hardcore Atari collector, and he'd send letters to the addresses of software publishers (like Mythicon) and he'd get typed responses from them.

Mind you, this was a whole lot before Email was popular in Mexico - Mid to late 80s probably - during and after the crash.

He still has a lot of cool Atari stuff, and I think he framed one of the letters.

    1.) Host PDF's somewhere
2.) Make thread in 4chan /b/ saying "everyone mail Nintendo to order 64DD's"
    3.) ?????
    4.) Profit!

Why not make a scan of each page of the carbon copy, and then just fill out each copied page individually? I doubt Nintendo would care if the forms/details are not on the original carbon paper, and if they are they would probably just send a letter back saying they require the original form. This way you get to keep the original forms and still find out if the address is valid.

So. Print both pages, stick a sheet of real carbon paper (you know, the stuff everyone used before carbonless carbon paper) in between them and staple them all together. Real carbon paper is pretty obsolete, but I'm sure you can still find it in most decent office supply stores.

heh thanks for the tips, but I just bought a set on Yahoo with a keyboard and Doshin 2. I'm going to bundle the documents in to make a "mega set".

But maybe I'll make a copy and send it in if I find the time... ;)

I once bought a set from a guy who kept just about all of the documents. You can basically piece together a time line of how the system rolled out. He bought his on December 11, 1999. The original invoice has:

    Randnet Starter Kit (no disk)
    Doshin 1
    MA Paint Studio
Something in kanji I can't make out...maybe the disk holder or something?

They list the release date for Talent Studio, Sim City 64, and the Randnet Disk as February 29, 2000. The Polygon Studio, Communication Kit, and F-Zero X are just listed as future releases.

On February 23, 2000, they shipped out Talent Studio, SimCity 64, and the Randnet Disk. The Communication Kit and F-Zero are listed with a release date of April 30, 2000. These are the smaller boxes that you'll sometimes see in auctions. They also had letters talking about the delay and each box had a "newspaper" with it. You'll sometimes see those newspapers in auctions.

Another invoice from April 21, 2000....F-Zero. The Polygon Studio and Communication kit are listed as a June 30 release. Another letter, another newspaper.

Another invoice from June 29, 2000, for the Communication Kit. The Polygon Studio is listed as an August 31, 2000 release....5 days after I first arrive in Japan. If I knew then what I knew now...heh. Another box, letter, and newspaper.

The last invoice is from August 29, 2000. Polygon Studio is released.

The guy even kept the letter from Nintendo saying that the service will stop on February 28, 2001. They waived the last 3 months of membership fees and apologized for not producing more games for it. There's also a printout from the internet from randnetdd.co.jp giving information about the release schedule that he printed out and kept.

Now if I can just find what I did with those originals....heh. They're in a folder somewhere....hmmmmmm

Can you share a high-quality scan of the docs with us before packing it with the bundle?

Those documents aren't going in with the bundle. I have them stored away. I was going to make a webpage about it but never found the time. I need some translation done first of all of the letters, and that takes time. I was talking about including the order form in the auction only.

I have everything scanned in and ready to go...just need the translation. Maybe after I'm done I'll put the documents into auction.
