Considering he doesnt own the rights to Conker, I think its a safe bet that he isnt, unless Nintendo gave something in return (Like, say, Goldeneye).

Nintendo don't own Conker just like Banjo Kazooie (both Rareware games) and Microsoft bought Rareware and ports of both these games were on the XBOX and 360. Unless of course Rareware was sold back to Nintendo which I highly doubt or if the game was on 3DS (which could be plausable) few handheld Rareware games made it out on GBA dunno about DS. Something to do with their contract if I read right.

I never said anything about Nintendo owning the rights. Microsoft does, not Chris Seavor. So if he even wanted to develop Conker, it would be through MS, in which case he wouldnt need a WiiU development kit. Unless Microsoft let Seavor and Nintendo make a deal in exchange for something else, like being able to release Goldeneye finally, which I highly doubt.

I realise this, and a quick google and wiki brings this bit of info up In late 2012, he stated in his Twitter that he was fired from Rare.

I assume Activision still owns the game rights to Goldeneye, so Nintendo couldn't release it under that name.

I'm aware that he is gone from Rare, thus no rights. 7force, look into why GoldenEye didn't come out on XBLA. Nintendo seems to hold the rights to the Rare developed game. Activision obviously holds 007 rights now, but they seemed willing to play ball at the time anyway so it was a minor hurdle.

It will at best be a spiritual successor, much like bioshock was to system shock
