I saw the scene in question, I think it loses impact as it's not on US Soil.

I think everybody needs to not take it so personal. Its a game, a fantasy, a simulation of real world aspects yet not replicating real world events or real people. Its just a game. Because I play grand theft auto that doesn't make me a raving lunitic hell bent on killing everyone and just because I play in a terrorist storyline to see from their perspective doesn't mean I'm going to walk outside and bomb anything.

EDIT: Okay I am going to back pedal a little here. I just saw the video in the first scene where they gun down innoncents relentlessly was kind of brutal and not needed I was expecting like a hostage situation and a few innocent casualties with the option of killing innoncents not and actual mission where you run and gun defenseless people. I should have watched the video before commenting naturally. Still it does bend my view a bit but I still stand behind it that it is a simulation and not real. Also does it confuse anyone else that your an american spy killing innoncent people? Under cover or not I don't think they would let that happen.

I played that level last night and I can see what all the fuss is about

Perhaps it is because I am a little bit older that I can understand why.

I must admit althoughn it doesn`t bother me a huge amount, it is a bit random.

But then the argument can be , it`s only a game and is there a difference shooting someone in a game as a civilian or another soldier with a gun.

I did actually shoot a civilian and it doesn`t give any negative score or makes you die after a few as it does say follow the russians? lead

Personally perhaps they could have thought about this a bit more to avoid all this furore......as it doesn`t in my mind make any difference to the game as in take them out and just shoot those soldiers defending the airport.

Just read some other posts and can see some relevance on the GTA series, but these you have a choice, you do in MW2 as well, but not to the same extent where you so called team mates are shooting everyone.

I haven't read any more articles here in the States about this level, and the game is a monster hit so I think people are just not thinking about the level too deeply as they play through it. I guess thats a good thing, sort of like a kid not picking up on a sex joke on the Simpsons. They just see more polygons they need to shoot at.
