There never was a console version of Sonic Fighters to my knowledge, except the Saturn one, and I don't see why they'd port that rather than the arcade.
Don't tell me they're porting the Saturn version !! That pisses me off because that should have been released on the Dreamcast as part of a Sonic Collection. Yakumo
it was in production and some of the stages characters made it in to Fighters Megamix. I never played Sonic Fighters anyway so I've no idea if it's any cop. I guess it plays just like Virtua Fighter Kids but with some weapons and stuff thrown in
well if you want to see for yourself go to segas U.S. website where they got a trailer for the game, though its hard to make out if its the arcade or saturn version.
I can't get to the Sega.com page. every time I try I get sent to sega.co.jp I hate this redirecting crap. Is there anyway to turn it off? Yakumo
Some info for those that havn't been keeping up to date with the news for this collection: Sonic R will be a conversion of the PC version, and will include all the extras it had over the saturn version, including variations of each level, 4 player support, and improved draw distance. Increased resolution is also rumored but not confirmed. While as in the states 'Sonic Gems Collection' will be a Gamecube exclusive, it will also be available on the PS2 in Japan and Europe. The game will have a movie and art gallery included. It is unknown which movies will be included, but the art section will have some stuff from 'Knuckles Chaotix'. If that game will be unlockable seems likly, but has not been disclosed yet. Nine games will be available to the player initialy, with several more unlockable. Below is a list of known games the collection will contain: 1. Sonic R (PC) 2. Sonic CD (Sega CD) 3. Sonic Championship (Arcade) 5. Sonic Spinball (Megadrive/Genesis) 4. Sonic Tripple Trouble (Game Gear) 6. Tails: Sky Patrol (Game Gear) 7. Sonic Drift 2 (Game Gear) 8. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear) 9. Tails Adventure (Game Gear)
