well, there's bad thing and good thing in it, comix zone is a big plus( i can't tell for the other genesis games , i nver played those) , and there's the game gear sonics ,but some great games where forgeted . where the heck is sonic and knucles and sonic (without a game, with sonic2 and with sonic 3) , where's sonic cd and knuckles kaotix? :smt017

Its not much of a plus, it seems its a version that just makes it more complete.

 

And like the mega collection on the gamecube, no sonic cd and no saturn games :Hangman: why the hgell can't sega put those on it's not like their big games, they can convert the pc versions :smt009

Sega are taking the p!ss with this collection. Why are they sticking Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Puyo Puyo mutated machine twice on there? If you have the Mega Drive version then you don't need the Game Gear version. Bloody Rip Off !!! A real Sonic Collection should have Sonic CD (BEST SONIC EVER !!) Sonic 3D Flikie's Island (Saturn Version), Sonic R (Saturn) and have a 3D interface like Sonic Jam on the Saturn had. In fact Sonic Jam is the best Sonic collation disc so far. It may not have all the games but it does contain a whole host of bonus material.

Yeah knuckles chaotix should be on there as well so finaly everybody can play the game, because it's so god damn ahrd to find and waaaay to expensive :Hangman:

 

The Game Gear games are a big plus (why the hell didn't they put them on in the first place, on the GameCube?), but what are Comix Zone and The Ooze doing on there? At least Flicky and Ristar remotely had something to do with Sonic!

Some Plus Collection this is. Come the hell on Sega, at least put Chaotix and Sonic CD on there!

 

Yup, Sega is in a lazy period right now. Concidering the fact that the GG games can be found on SADX. Not to mention that if they actually tried, they could get Sonic CD on there (Reason why it wasn't on the GCN version was the music, which I heard could easily be fixed with some effort).

 

indeed , sega is in a lazy period, they don't refine their games and shock their fans , it could be so easy to ad sonic cd and knuckles chaotix ....and why not sonic R and a 3d museum??

Personally, I think it has to do with Emulation(With Sonic R and such). Sega developed a Emulator for the Genesis/Sega CD for the GCN version, and didn't have the patients to configure the music to the correct file type. I dare say they ported the Genesis/Megadrive Emulator from SMC, as well as the Master System/Gamegear Emulator from SADX, and put it on the PS2.

 

Any SONIC 'compilation' on a nexty gen console without Sonic CD nad to a lesser extent, Chaotix, is a joke.

Plus - where the hell are the two most STILL PLAYABLE sonic-related games on the GG - Tails Adventure and Tails Sky Patrol? They can stick in Ristar and Comiz Zone - not even bloody related to Sonic or Sonic Team in any way, except for the very weak STI link with Comix - but they leave these two gems out?

Someone with serious mental deficiencies thought up this so-called compilation. Why the hell does SEGA screw things up so badly so often?

 

Time for a stupid question -- what system is this coming out on? I've not been keeping up w/ the news at all lately.

 

I was expecting at least the addition of Sonic CD and Sonic R.

It's pretty shitty that they made again an 'normal' compilation.. I want to have an big collection with all the sonic games till the dreamcast versions.. including the arcade versions...

 

Sonic CD's OST is one of my favorites of all the games I've ever played. The first time I listened to it I was hooked

 

sonic cd still have incredible music for these days , imo.

 

but I still think sonic CD is one bad game. Didn't like it at all (if i'm correct the game isnt even made by sonic team) When playing it I miss the 'sonic' feeling like in 2 and 3

 

Personally i think sonic cd is the best of the 16-bit sonics, i'm hooked on the sonic boom song :smt040
