Sonic Xtreme cover contest

Some logos I had made for another project. If you can use them, please do. (PNG transparency is applied)

 

The black one looks excellent, we should use it.

 

If anyone needs other colors just let me know.

 

Here's my go, I just kinda reworked the old one.

 

Here's my first attempt... I went with the J/NTSC cover and kept it rather minimal. Hope you like it.

 

Anybody? A little criticism on mine? (It's at the bottom of page 6)

 

I like it La-li-lu-le-lo (hard to type, that) but colour it in lad!

And handofg0d it looks amazing but the consensus here seems to be that we should go for a more classic design and not the "new" (since is almost 10 years old) SA one.

Theres an old sonic picture that looks just like that, from 92-93 I think.

You could use that one...

in 1996 sonic didnt look like that... in this image he looks like from sonicX.
but... oh well... who cares? it still looks good!

 

The image I used of Sonic is actually from the 15th anniversary celebration (hence his fingers in a 1 and 5). I will work on a cover in the same fashion (good thing I saved the psd for the other layers) with a more retro image.

EDIT - Here's a quick attempt with the best looking older image I could find - I'm not particularly impressed with it - if anyone can provide a link to a better pose (decent size) from that era I might give it another go.

This is my design. Since the original cover prototype came from Chris Senn, I've decided to base this on his idea, although adapted, obviously.

First I made one keeping the borders on Sonic, but later I tryed this one without them, to make it look like that classic Sonic drawings (like the one which you used in your last cover). I guess the result is better that way.
