So basically if i want to play PS1 games on my PSP i either:

    - downgrade firmware and use the emulator thats available now
    - OR wait a while, Blow $600 on a PS3 and another $5 or whatever on a download for an old game

Or am i missing something? Isnt there a way to download the PSX-ports if you dont own a PS3?

From what I head, initially you can only get them from a PS3, but eventually you might be able to download them straight to your PSP from a wifi network.

While you're doing that. You going to be able to also play thoes on your ps3 or even on 5 other friend's ps3?

    While emulation sounds ideal.
    1) sony will stop it once it's viable because it will directly compete against it's software sales.
    2) you dont need a ps3 to purchase ps1 games to play on psp.
    3) Next year you will be able to play that purchased ps1 game on your psp or ps3 with out having to buy another copy.
    4) Sony has already stated they will let you redownload that game on up to 5 different ps3 systems if you go to a friends and want to play that purchased ps1 game over there.

Sony's buisness plan for ps1 downloads is actualy quite good and not stupid rip off people keep thinking it is.

Yes. You will be able to download on your psp over wifi vs having to have a ps3 to buy it.

Or just make one of these: http://www.benheck.com/Games/Sony_projects/PSp/PSp%20page%203.htm

I'm not that interested, the games I'd want I already have without DRM and some emulator. Plus even if it is released FFVII wouldn't fit on my Memory Stick anyway.

So true. And even if you want to play them with improvements, get a PS2 or a emulator on the PC.

I prefer to put them on the PS2

Too bad these "less than 5 dollars" aren't true down here. Damn, asap i'll get my Paypal back and you're gonna help me Yakumo

At least it beats the $8.00 to $10.00 that Nintendo wants to charge for their SNES and N64 games.

A.Snow, come on, you can't really compare PSone games to SNES and N64 classics :p honestly :p

Maybe not for the SNES but there are far more classic PSone games then the N64 in my book.
