well...its out! so are you getting it? I have two versions for dc, but slightly improved visuals and ease of having it ready to play on hdtv I think justifies its $10 price tag. opinions?
I bought it. It's Soul Calibur alright. I didn't know it doesn't have the mission thing, but still cool. It looks a tad better then VGA on my HDTV through HDMI. I pretty much got it because of that. It also has the museum completly unlocked. Some of the achievements are kind of stupid though. I think it was a good buy, even better if your going to be doing two player.
fullscreen HD graphics or the old DC ones? BTW at least for me the cut of the mission part takes away 70% of the game's worthness... T_T
It's like the other 360 ports, it's in 720p but it's got side bars. It looks about the same as a DC running on an HDTV with VGA, but with better resolution. It's really only worth it if you have an HDTV I guess. Mission mode being gone sucks, but I did play the hell out of it before, and at least it keeps the DC one from being inferior, lol.
Ive had videos on my site for the game for a while, but no, I would say buy the DC version if you can. The game as fundamentally sound as ever, but there is nothing to do in it.
That's exactly the reason it was cut. The game was too big to fit Microsoft's current max aracade game size. So Mission Mode went bye bye. There was no Netplay because they were worried about it being a shitty experience since they wouldn't have the time to smooth it out.
720p too. For some reason I don't like SC2 though, compared to the first. Dunno why. Didn't like 3 either. I hope 4 is awesome.
3 put too much into extras not enough into making it a good deep fighter I and II were Blade is my favorite
Soul Calibur 2 on the Dreamcast is still one of my fav' 3D beat'em ups out there. Great game. Just a shame 3 was so shallow yakumo
