Well this was at 3am....a foot and still blizzards at the moment  I don`t think I will be using my scooter to get into London today :noooo:
Oh you Londoners, calling yourselves Southern England! ;-) hehe. I just opened my window to check. It's a bit dark! There's a fair amount of snow down there - possibly not quite as much as you have, but then again, we're on the coast so we tend to get a little less. Hmm, a few seconds after closing my window, it made a worrying bang sound! It's a Velux, by the way.
http://www.ocregister.com/articles/fat-body-metabolism-1961623-one-cold Are you calling me fat?? Just for you, Kev.... http://www.fotosearch.com/results.asp?keyword=naked+snow+running+&category=&searchtype=sss What the hell is up with the dude with the headphones?! He's not naked and there's no snow! Keyword search fail! Oh, and the third picture makes ya wince!
Last time it snowed my brother said it was much deeper down south (Epping) than it was when he got up here in Sheffield. Seems like the same is true again! Though we have a decent covering up here now and its still going.
I was brave enough to get the scooter out at about 7am, only just managed to get it down the drive and then only fell off the once getting into London Haven`t seen it this bad for a very very long time as no roads gritted, single lane traffic everywhere even on 3 lane roads Elephant & Castle was an ICE-RINK as car`s compacted the snow in the small hours and it hasn`t melted, so was great fun But then I was one of only a few people on the road But as it is still throwing it down I am genuinely a bit worried about getting home :-(
It's snowing hard here, looks pretty, but I want it to melt and the sun to shine....It's freezing!!!!!!!!
There's a little here in Dorset but nothing to write home about. My canadian GF is here, she thinks the weather reports are hilariously OTT.
We've only had an inch by me, I'm near Stoke on Trent. Bloody disgrace! I was hoping for a foot or so.
This is a village only a mile or so from me and very very close to where my parents live 13 inches so far!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7865044.stm
2-3cm of snow that has already melted. I envy such a massive snow fall, although it's a pain in the ass to be dependable of cars during such a harsh winter!
OE lives "down the road" from me. When I came home an hour or so ago, it was already mostly melted, and it was raining, not snowing.
If it snows in Canada then the roads get cleared and gritted and paths seem free of snow. If that happens in the UK then it seems the order to grit the roads hasn't been done, signed in triplicate, given to people who are away from their desk because of the snow and a few days later they do something about it. Although being in Australia at the moment all I am getting is heat, sun, a bit of rain and some wind...
Well Florida has weird weather, one day its cold, next day it hot.But for the most its hot and humid as hell. Man last time I saw snow I was 3 years old.
Washington, DC would have probably resorted to cannibalism with that much snow (i.e. they don't know how to deal with it at all, regardless of how much we get annually).
