Hey all, So I modded my XBox to load games off the HD, and tried the above game. It runs absolutely fine, but the screen is off-centre. The image is shunted to the left, and the slither of screen that is lost (about a 2-inch column) appears over on the right. Has anyone else heard of this? Or perhaps was the ISO I downloaded corrupt in some way? Cheers
First off, we dont want to hear about you downloading ISOs. There are other places to talk about that. Second, is the game you are using the same region as your TV/Console?
Sorry. I genuinely do have the original game, but I didn't know how to put it on the HD, and wanted an NTSC version. I thought the XBox could handle that (it's managed Halo fine)...
Some games don't work through component or certain dashboards. UnleashX for example will fuck up the picture to push everything to side. Try launch it through EvoX.
Try XBMC (or rather "XBMC4Xbox"). Besides being another launcher, this gives you a file manager, so you can copy the game from your original disc see whether it's the launcher's or one of the games' fault.
I doubt you saw my post above... but Propper way to rip a disc is through DVD2XBOX. Ripping from one launcher to another isn't the case here. It's the dash you launch from. If you try playing the disc you should get no issues whatsoever. What dash are you using? Using component or composite?
Component. As you said, some games may not work through it. Maybe that's it. I'll have a tinker around, anyway. Thanks.
Vice City has the same issue. Really, try EvoX, the problem was solved for me after that. AUF had weird issues were some stages would be a black screen, and others wouldn't.
Hey Hex (and all), I've been looking into Evox, and I keep running into dire warnings that it's inferior to UnleashX and does away with FTP, what say you? Also, something similar is happening to the emulators I have on the machine, say for Spectrum, Amiga etc. Apart from the opening video, the menus are a horrendous staticy garbled mess. CoinOps 6 works fine, though. Could this be down to the same problem,do you think?
