Its an anime from 1999. Its based on a clone of a Tamogatchi from like 1995 or something. I like and still like it more than Pokemon. Digimon is still kiddy, but the anime was a lot more for older kids. I like the monster designs, too. I was trying to make that. A regular Greymon would be easier though.
I wasnt sure if it was a clone or made by Tamogatchi themselves. I think Digimon is the only Anime I've watched every episode of and loved almost every episode, and still do. Too bad its not on DVD. The quality of some episodes is really shitty in some of the torrents I downloaded of it. EDIT: Anyways, back to Spore. I made a quick video of one of my creatures. So far, the music and sound effects get a LITTLE on my nerves, but Im usually not wearing my headphones while editing creatures. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCFJSr5_5fg
I cast resurrect on this thread! I made a Metal Slug Alien with the basic editor the other day. And two others while I was trying to make max stats creatures. This one has the best stats. I like the way this one looks I think the full editor is already out. EA is charging $10 for the 100% version, but I think you get a discount on the actual game when you get it. Im definitely getting that tomorrow for sure.
How impractical is this thing? Can you make a creature with eyeballs for toes? Anus for a mouth? Etc?
Yes and Yes You'd REALLY be surprised at whats been created with it. I sent this one to AWS a second ago:dance: (I didnt make it) EDIT: I think I realized why my pics didnt look that good. I swore I put the max resolution and graphics on...guess I didnt. The real game looks like this.
It turns out Im still learning from this editor. Different textures = Different shading, I think. I believe that might be why my first few creations looked bad texture wise. I just got the full editor (well, I got it yesterday at Wal-Mart) and learned how to use the painter thing a lot better. My new and improved MetalGreymon. It actually looks like him now! Couldnt give him his big Metal arm due to it being 100% symmetrical, but its close enough. Some of you might not want to pay $10 for a demo of sorts, but its really getting you set up for Spore in case you want to buy it when you register and stuff. EDIT: Oh, and here's my Spore page. http://www.spore.com/view/profile The free and pay editors have been out for only five or so days and already there are nearly 700,000 creatures made. Now THATS amazing.
I hope this game won´t have a monthly payment, like WoW and other games out there, since then they can have fun wanking off to it as much as they want. But if the game won´t be like that. Then I am probably going to buy it when it comes out. But right now , I am waiting.
I don't think Spore is going to have a monthly fee. Its not an MMO, exactly, its just fed content from what other players have made.
