Wow....this thing has amazed me. I made this thing in a few minutes and it looks like an actual professional model. Im definitely getting this game when it comes out.
Topic could need minor edit. As this appears to be the "trial version" of the Creature Creator. So the demo made it out 3 days early? (Set for release on the 17th, along with the full version of the Creature Creator)
The full version will cost $10 I'm definitely going to get it, though. You even can get a discount on the game if you pay for it, I've heard. My newest crime against nature:

It was uploaded from a CD from some European magazine or something. Its not against the law or anything. The full editor comes out in a few days anyway. And Im TOTALLY getting it.:nod:
yeah, the full game will have DRM and it is the dreaded Securom, so if you want your harddrive to be ruined, then go ahead and have fun with it.
I dont see anything wrong with the graphics because personally, I'm not a graphics whore. Will Wright suddenly decided to make the game "Cutesy" though, but its still not a problem for me. He's not talking abut the style. The graphics don't look right to me either. It's like there being run with all the settings on medium or something, maybe a low res. I'm not a graphics whore either but when you pay big bucks for a PC to play games on, there sort of suppose to look good. I don't get the appeal of spore, personally. Guess I'll have to check it out.
Graphics haters should have a look at the some gameplay footage. Although the visual style has changed from the very old gameplay footage of the game, it's still pretty sweet. You gotta remember that this is not "yonder everyday FPS" with sealed off tiny areas and plenty of loading points. It's a full breathing open world with a somewhat simplified, yet complex creation system that is supposed to be accessible and functional for you, your brother, your sister, heck, maybe even your parents and so on... or easier: for everyone. Take a look at MMOs, I guess. A game type that isn't exactly known for having the "ZOMG GREATEST GRAPHICS IN THE WORLD!", even though Age of Conan and Star Wars Galaxies certainly knows how to choke even a modern up-to-date beast of a computer on high settings in order to show your eyes some candy. Anyway, at the end of the day, don't judge the graphics of a game by looking at a tiny fragment of the overall picture. (Though, at the end of the day, for graphics to be "good", the most important thing is that the visual style is consistent and thought through) [edit] Note: I just looked at some of the pictures people have put up and stuff... Keep in mind that you need to drop by the paint tab and mess with the 3 level layer system to get other stuff than "jelly" skin on your creatures. Also keep in mind that it seems like the demo contains about 10% of the parts and skins (Base, coat and detail).
The editor is really versatile and easy to use, IMO. Hell, I made a Metalgreymon with it, and it wasnt REALLY that hard. Nostalgias a bitch. Anyways, if you are expecting Crysis level of detail, you will be disapointed. But if you want a fun, versatile, and original game, then you might want Spore.
Those are cannons. Remember MetalGreymon shot missiles out of chest plate known as Giga blasters? I remember EVERYTHING from Season one.:lol: More weapons = stronger attack, too.

Yeah I left the thing downloading all night, and not only it went barely over 30% but the average speed was 500b/sec. Is like being in 1995 all over again........unless, wait! I AM in 1995!
