square enix remake on DS.

squarenix anounced that they will do remake of great their classics , and its the job of the player to decide wich will be made .
when you'll buy final fantasy 1.2 advance , a formular will let you decide wich of these games you'll whant to see on the ds: ff3, ff4,ff5,ff6 crono trigger , front mission , Hanjuku Heroes, SaGa and Seiken Densetsu serie..
wich will you take? mmmm....tought choice.

It's got to be Final Fantasy 6 with out a doubt. That game was probably the only 16bit RPG to actually make me feel sad. You know the part were *********** and the girl thinks *********. Then finds ********(I think) but then he *****. Trully sad.

ABOUT GODDAMNED TIME!

For the love of all that's holy it's damn time they decided to release the SNES greats on a portable system!
It was my hope when Crystal Chronicles was announced they'd announce Chrono Trigger and FFVI on GBA.
I've waited FAR too long for them to repackage the only things I honestly WANTED for my GBA!!!
I wish I could assail a Nintendo exec. for taking their sweet ass time to do this!
Of course we now know they were saving it as an ace-in-their-sleeve to help the DS sell... I was probably going to let it slide and not actually buy one but now I'm OBLIGATED.
Although Final Fantasy VI is in my top five all-time greatest games, Chrono Trigger is actually my prime use for my laptop right now (yes being able to play Chrono Trigger on my breaks at work).
So Chrono Trigger it is, but I'll be dissappointed if I don't get Final Fantasy VI as well... there really is no good reason they can't do both...
...but while we're on the subject, I do want it on the record that I am resentful that they don't just release it on GBA and Nintendo is instead forcing me to buy the DS when CT and FFVI were my motive hopes in originally buying a GBA.

Now this has my boyhood fantasies all in a whirl!
What if (hell froze over and,) rather than simply releasing a cheap port under mass production SquareEnix actually went back and REdeveloped Chrono Trigger a little so that after your first playthrough of the game you could play a "New Game PLUS" that was Chrono Trigger WITH the extra areas and story that was cut (because of rushed release time) from the final product!?!

They need to release the Japanese FF3. I think they are obligated to.

I believe that everyone who owned SNES, and PSX has probably played all the FFs except for FF3 (Japan). It's an obligation.

A.Snow: I think the name is supposed to be Chrono Brake, but I'm not sure if they even still have it registered.

As far as games I'd pick... while Chrono is VERY tempting, I think my pics would be ones outside the Final Fantasy series (and Chrono also). Final Fantasies I, II, IV, V, and VI are all readily available on the US PSX, so I'd like to see some of the lesser known games, like the Romancing Saga series or Bahamut Lagoon, or ones that didn't get a PSX re-release, like Secret of Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3 (which are the two things I'd REALLY like on a portable system). Heck, even a Front Mission Advance would be cool.

I must say that if Nintendo has Square behind them with the DS, and they end up releasing ANY of the titles that cahaz mentioned, that's scoring big "Maybe I should get it..." points with me, that's for sure.

 

I'm not really interested in playing any of them really. I've completed all the FF games listed and Chrono trigger......and not really all that bothered about the other titles listed.

I'd rather have a good new game rather than another re-release.

 

every games that didn't pass in america and europe should be remade for the ds. romancing saga, frontmission , seiken destu 3, and final fantasy 3, they must be remade , for the love of gamers , the others are optionnal , but could be really cool too.

i just wish they will add things to the games , mabe a little graphic lift (why not a lifted graphic in the first screen and the original graphics in the 2nd screen ? (or maybe 2d 1 first , 3d in second? :smt040 ). a man can dream .....)

Personally I'd like a true sequel to Chrono Trigger, and not the flawed POS that was Chrono Cross. Sequal on DS, cheap re-release of CT on GBA at the same time... everybody's happy.

Why FFIII

I wouldn't want to waste my good SquareEnix release on FFIII just because it wasn't released here (I've heard it's really not worth playing more than once), Bahamut Lagoon WOULD be a good unreleased game choice though, lot's of secrects, depth and gameplay in that one! Or you know what I'd LOVE to see released on a portable (but it' outside both SEs and Ns jurisdiction), Tales of Phantasia, I remember the first time I played the first rough translation, that games is SO damn fun and interesting, haden't played a good RPG like that in a VERY long time...
You know, I'd really like to see a finished StarFox 2 released on DS as well... if they're gonna coerce me into buying that system they better give me everything I thought I was getting in the GBA...

Actually you guys. Go to SquareEnix's site and you can VOTE for which game you want ported/translated onto the DS.
