SSRPG NEOGEO CD has a translation patch for french any news on an english release?

A french team made a 90% complete said only really issue is typos due to space.
A while back I heard someone was trying to contact the team to get an english translation going.
Anyone have any news on an update to that?

Interesting. I have no idea if an english translation is being worked on but French being my native language I could certainly help translating anything from french to English. I am 100% fluent in both.
English is typically at least 10-15% shorter to write than french (often more) so an English translation could probably do without any space constraints.

Still I think the best would be to translate directly from JP to english but could not help there.

 

I actually played through it in japanese language with a walkthrough both scenarios and the fan scenario. I remember saving and loading just to see what different items did and how to build my own gear.
I did all that on a real neo geo cd also. The visuals and style and gameplay like performing fighting game inputs (unfortunatly only In first scenario) to pull of moves was very asthetic. I'd play it again just to be able to read it and be able to get deeper in the system. I'd like to also mention the neo cd version Is by far the best version.

 

Will they do the Playstation 1 version sometime soon as well? All would they have to do is copy & paste the translated script from the Neo Geo CD version then vice versa if i'm not mistaken so it can be more easier & simpler right?

 

Most don't care for the ps1 or saturn versions at all as its completely gimped due to lack of ram 1-2MB vs neo cds 8MB and since everthings drawn in sprites a lot of memory is needed so ps1 and saturn have Less animation/effects and a missing 3rd scenario also missing gameplay voice acting and techniques.

Here is the thing the game has already been effectively translated into french all someone needs is to do is get some documentation and a translator. No reason to wait for a translation of a crappy port when the work is already finish.

Edit: I guess a ps1 translation wouldn't be bad either but this is about the neo geo cd version. Just updated my title so no one gets confused.

Hopefully I can get some info or encourage others to start the English translation. All that really needs to be done is get the documentation from the french team and translate it.

 

I have no idea of how big is the cummulated text In the game, but as I said I would be willing to help with translating french to english. I just don't know anything about the rom hacking involved here. And I have no Neo geo cd...

 

I'm going to email them tonight or tommarow and see if I can work something out with them, you knowing french is a valuable asset, if they agree to work something out than would just need a hacker to put the script inside. If this project comes to frutation and you become a member of tge translation I could possibly just get you a neo geo cd for your effort.

Other than putting the plan into effect I'm pretty useless Other than being able to test the product.

So honestly the french translation are more Literal... i don't know if it's the good word .... but it's very import work and we are very happy to understand it
So the fisrt scénario are very basic, the second are more interets i try to finish it at this moment

 

I'm not sure I get all the you say correctly, but its ok.
Im wondering about how you are proceeding with the translation, do you have a native french who understands Japanese or a Japanese who speaks french?
Or are you using some basic knowledge of Japanese + translation tools maybe?

Could you please tell me how to patch French translation for SSRPG Neogeo CD version? I have followed all instructions but get errors when patching. It tells me it is impossible to find crack, patch, ... in windows/system32. I don't know why to resolve.

Hello you should have a original Iso, you have two version in the web but the two are ok
the game sould have: .ISO + song (.WAV/.MP3/.OGG) + file .CUE

I would like to play it on my NGCD though I've heard the loading time are very very long and frequent.

you have an loading with all the fight and you have an fight all the 5 secondes...
So it's correct with an CDZ but it's just impossible with an Top/front neo geo CD
