Yes it worked fine. I actually did a new design that will work better with osh park https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/7KkskiCn You can get the chip from here. And they will also program for free http://www.buyicnow.com/it.php?i=78
I did a follow up video that shows the process of updating my cart to the final version. The final version of the game is really nice!
It's not as bad as it looks in the video. We just have reused wires and it was hard to film. Looked like we were burning the wires and the old chip in the video, but we didn't. It was our first time filming. I'll admit it was a rush job.
What noticeable differences have you seen between the old ROM and the final ROM? I know the title screen is different and have heard the lock on shot is not there anymore. I'm curious what else may be different but whenever I tried looking no one seemed to have done any in depth comparisons yet.
It's in the video. Or check here: https://tcrf.net/Proto:Star_Fox_2/June_22,_1995_Build#Differences_from_Final_Version
The last time I checked TCRF hadn't yet posted that information. From playing the final I certainly noticed the asteroid belt level that I never saw before. I also think I noticed little things polished up. Also the end Score thing seemed different. But yes, TCRF's page is excellent. I like that we finally know what the hell the Pepper Coins are for!
