Star Wars Battlefront 3

We may never see this game out in the shops but at least we have gotten a chance to get sneak peak to what the gameplay was going to be like. Taken from an internal meeting sometime in November.

Damn, you beat me to it. It looked like an awesome game, I hope that other developer pick this up.

 

Someone needs to fire bomb the Lucas Arts offices. Why would you pull the deal with that as a WIP?

 

Theyve never said the project is cancelled (though they never said it was in development either hah). Some people seem to think that it has been passed on to another studio.

 

According to wikipedia, development was passed to Rebellion Developments (Star Wars Batlefront: Renegade Squadron developer)

 

the game looks awesome. i'm still waiting for a great current-gen Star Wars game. where's KotOR III (which better not be an mmo)???

man, that sounds soo cool... but now it's just a cutscene...

 

I have bad news for you. It is an MMO. If you go to bioware.com it is listed under games in development as KOTOR online. It is supposed to be a revolutionary MMO, but that phrase has lost it's meaning with every MMO saying that and then putting out some rehash of WOW with a different name, and some small new feature that usually fails.

The reason I played KOTOR in the first place is because of the amazing story. You just can't have that in an MMO.

 

Sure you can, which is exactly what they plan to do. Just because an MMO hasnt pulled it off well (though FFXI's is pretty good, if short), doesnt mean its impossible
