Sadly I can't talk too much about it until the 11th of December which when we'll be posting a full trailer and detailing the coverage we have planned. If it's alright I'd love to update this thread with links to our coverage as it happens.

Yeah, in the program files folder there must be a least a few hundred clips. They're broken up into one sentences each but I've played this part of the game so just strung it together.

Again, I'll flesh out my idea for the coverage on the 11th but it'll be in image, video and audio format. As much as I possibly can to be honest.

Oh and apologies for the double post before. I really should have known better.

 

I'd be careful with exactly what you publish - the game has allegedly been picked up for redevelopment.

With that said I'm a big fan of the show, watched it back in the day and got the 10 season DVD box set too

 

Well, until that's announced outright I'll stick on track with this. The team at Perception Studios are quite happy with me doing this. Granted they wouldn't be working on a redevelopment themselves but that rumour has been abound for ages now.

I know what you mean though but it's the go ahead from the original devs against an internet rumour that has been going since 2005. So yeah, this coverage will be pretty thorough.

Ill only be truly happy when I have a chance to play the game someday haha. But the screenshots are damn awesome.

Apologies for the double post but I think this new article I posted warrants it. I've posted a few gameplay videos of Stargate The Alliance. This video coverage, which will be posted weekly over a number of months, will cover the entire game. I will also re-do every level in spectator mode in multiplayer to give you a good view of the levels, characters, vehicles, etc. The coverage will be very extensive.

One question though, is the lag in the videos due to your setup or recording software, or the game itself?

Well, I'm in possesion of two builds. Both too a long time to run on my XP system. They're pretty much the same but the orginal build had way much more lag. The second one is much better but even then it's not perfect. For instance, the forested level is running in 800x600 res. However, that mission has the worst lag regardless. The game doesn't run 100% perfect but I've done my best to cut down on the lag. Plus, take into consideration that Fraps is running at the same time. The next few levels should be running at a better screen res as they're less graphically taxing (no rain, etc).

 

I see, I don't mind the lag in the videos, I was just wondering if it was from the recording process or from the game itself, which would be a shame

Yeah, it doesn't run perfect but that's partly down to my XP pc. I dragged it out of storage to run Stargate but had to upgrade the graphics card. At the time I couldn't see a better card on the market to be honest.
