Can I suggest a bit of patience might be in order here? The important thing to know is that prototypes of this game have survived, and they are in the hands of people who will ensure that they aren't deleted/destroyed forever. Obviously we'd all like to have them in our hands right now, but that's clearly not possible at this point in time. The prototypes will remain, and circumstances will change over time. In 10 years, I very much doubt anyone is going to care if this beta gets leaked or not. Content like this being released online, for such a recent game, can have a very real impact on people and their employment if it's traceable back to them, but over time, this risk is reduced, and the impact is reduced. I'm sure this prototype will see the light of day, when it's possible for that to happen without negatively affecting others.

 

I agree, in 10 years things can change. I had a lot of software with sources and was asked not to release it... just to get a green light to GPL it 3 years later.

 

I'm just saying, at this point, there will be no release, as I was asked not to. If the developer gives up at some point and releases it, that is of course something that they will decide, and until then, I can't offer it for download. No amount of money can change my mind at this time, not that I wouldn't mind a donation or two on my website

I've been in contact with the developer (perception) and they have no intention of EVER releasing this game, they couldn't care less about the project....one for the "old boys club" I suppose.

So there is a prototype, that is 100% playable, "owned" by an assembler user, but the developer (still) forbids to make it public ?
(but is ok with all the videos?) Or am I missing something as its mostly a 2012 discussion ?

The key is that "owned" bit. I don't own it. It isn't mine to do with as I want. MGM is serious about protecting their rights. 100% is a loose term too, it is playable sure, but 100%? No way. If you want proper video, there is plenty on my channel.

Mgm can be very evil.their guys contacted me years ago to remove all footage or they will do further steps to kick my ass

 

As I can see, Bormans channel does not have any videos about it anymore ?!

Did the Xbox version leak btw ?
