i preorder it yesterday on steam. PC gaming on my part most time i use steam. For germany its the 16.10.2015 shipping day. http://store.steampowered.com/app/353370/ You wait for release, or also preorder?
No price yet for Brazil (Still shows "Coming Soon"). If it's priced reasonably, i would probably get one on release as well.
Not interested. Valve tried to combine PCs and Consoles and they failed miserably. Why would anyone want to buy a prebuilt PC when you always get more bang for your buck building your own? You can't even get as good performance per dollar anyways because consoles are subsidized, while steam box manufacturers are out to make a profit. This doesn't even include the performance advantages inherent in programming for uniform hardware without abstraction layers. Also, the controller looks like shit and it seems like they tried so hard to be different that the end result was a damn mess. I get that they wanted to have the precision of a mouse to avoid auto-aim solutions like on consoles, but it looks like that was a failure too. According to this review the games using it enable auto-aim: http://www.techradar.com/reviews/ga...rollers/valve-steam-controller-1212868/review The only thing that might actually be decent is the steam link device. I live in a house with quite a few televisions and it would be really nice to be able to sit on any couch in any room and play my pc games like a console. We'll have to wait and see how good the quality is though, but if Valve delivers on this one then I will definitely get one. That is of course dependent on whether or not you can use other controllers with it. -doulomb
I just proved myself to be very American. I spent about 30 seconds trying to figure out "The hell? There is no 16th month! The hell is going on here dad gummit!" Only to then remember... "Oh wait, the 16 is the day, not the month."
Price is very good, but I have no need for it. $50 controller vs $70 mouse and $$$$ keyboard Plus for casual games I have wired 360 pad.
Is there a way to dislike posts? The xbone controller is nowhere near as good as the 360's. Playing Halo with it feels as unnatural to me as using a controller S with the original Xbox, I could only ever use a duke.
I'd say that both 360 and xbone controllers suck. I prefer dpad over analog thumb whenever possible and dpad on xbox in positioned incorrectly.
I for some reason don't understand the hate on the 360 d-pad, it worked great for me. The xbone controller's d-pad is utter shit though.
Simply you have to apply more force to keep you finger over that area. The thing is that natural position for your thumb is top-left (that's where Sony puts dpad and microsoft puts analog) and not bottom-right. Really if you prefer dpad you'll find PlayStation controller more confortable, if analog thumb - Microsoft.
Nah, GameCube controllers are cancer. I'm the only person in the world to play Smash considerably well with a wiimote and nunchuck. I'm from the Sony camp too, I hated it even as a kid These days I stick with Xbox and old Nintendo pretty much.
I don't know about xbone, but the overall build quality of xbox 360 hardware is very poor (both console and controller). Especially the controller: low quality plastic is used, controller itself is bulky. Logo button design sucks, it looks freakin' cheap when you realize that it isn't aluminum but plastic. Even ABXY buttons are somewhat wrong, you feel that they aren't smooth when you push them.
