What did you splurge on? Any recommendations? Here are some highlights. Also, if it ends in a .99, I round up. I dislike the whole "$9.99" garbage...

    Max Payne 3 - $5
If you haven't already played it, do so. The game is definitely worth it despite the rather large download size (around 30gbs). The PC version is the best of the lot and I've personally played through the game at least 3 times.

Castle Crashers & Battle Block Theater Combo - $5.79
Both excellent games, with CC having a very low file size. I believe both have co-op, just not sure if they're online or not.

I got "Legend of Kay", "Titan Souls" and a handful of small fry. Thinking about also grabbing "Ducktales Remastered" and "Black Mesa".

Bought 2 copies Torchlight 1 for US$2.99/CDN$3.39 each... 1 for a friend and 1 for me to play co-op. Both booted up the game and realize (drum roll please)... there is no co-op in the 1st one (I just assumed it was lol). :(

D'oh. Gonna have to get the 2nd one now.

Good sale though... LOTS of great deals.

I would hold off on Black Mesa, The dev team is unacceptably slow and does not communicate which was fine when Black Mesa was a free mod but its a paid product now yet they don't treat this like a professional product.
cause yes that's what it is now.

Anywhoo it is really nice for whats there but I would suggest just getting the free version.

Orion: Prelude was on sale from its normal 0.99 price tag. I already have it but hey, a sale is a sale and I can't argue with this price.

So much Sid Meier's Civilization V DLC..... So much.....

Anyhow I got all of this:
    • Sid Meier's Civilization IV: The Complete Edition
    • Sid Meier's Civilization V plus all DLC
    • Crysis Maximum Edition Bundle
    • Metro Last Light Redux
    • Fable Anniversary with all DLC
    • ARK: Survival Evolved
    • Empyrion - Galactic Survival
I'm done with the Steam sales until Winter. I'm loving Civ V. So much fun but I still haven't finished the first match I started last night.... Hopefully the PC I'm going to build soon can run ARK and Empyrion.

Steam Sales got less exciting when they stopped making daily flash deals.

I might get something that is 75%, 80% off... But they've had the same discounts on the last sale. And on the previous as well.

If you want Sonic games, check Humble Bundle for their Sonic 25th Anniversary bundle.

PS: Don't forget to check Steam.db Sales and IsThereAnyDeal to see if what you want is cheaper elsewhere.

I got Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for $12 and Bioshock Infinite for $7.49. I would say those are some good deals.

I haven't really gotten anything on this steam sale, no games have came out recently that I "need" to buy.

I preordered that game at full price and also bought some copies for friends. It was kind of disappointing.

Oh man, I love video game drama. Thanks for the link! I actually got both Orion and Orion: Prelude already so I'm wondering if I should ask for a refund...

So you have "the one game from that company" as well as "the same game just with newer timestamps on the files and a title change"? I'd ask for a refund for at least one of them. Stolen assets or not, they released what's basically the same game with what I recall being minor skin upgrades or shit like that multiple times. That's BS, even at that price point

I've bought very little since they stopped flash sales.

It's usually cheaper from other sources.

The later Humble bundles had quite a few AAA titles, usually those are provided via Steam. (Remember when they insisted that bundled games had to be DRM free, and run on Mac and Linux? Those days are looong gone...)
Green Man Gaming comes to mind, they sell Steam keys and are often cheaper than steampowered.com. And there's always G2A.com, which is cheap but oh so very, very shady.

Yeah, grey market is never the way to go unless you can't buy it from Green Man or Steam. A good example would be Ride to Hell: Retribution. I had to buy that through G2A.

Speaking of Humble Bundle and that summer sale, Sonic bundle made me laugh at sale "discount" because bundle was about 3.5 times cheaper.
