Maybe someone will fix iTunes and iPhoto now.

 

He knows that crApple is at it's peak and that other Plattforms become a real competition.

See alone how much iOS5 copies from Android.

crApple is coming to it's end as "the most innovative inventor". So better leave now while it's at it's full height rather than the ship start drifting downwards again.

That sounds like they've been bad all along. They aren't bad now. As a matter of fact, many of the improvements in Windows 7 were almost directly taken from OSX, same goes for Android/iOS.

Letting this apart, they still make amazingly high-quality products. Anyone who denies that is obviously not able to judge objectively.

 

Didn't Steve Jobs have cancer? In fact, he took a medical leave a couple of years ago for that very reason.

 

The quality is debatable. I find iPod's to not be as hardwearing as cheap £25 mp3 players.

 

Yes and the consensus is he still does, he's quite frail.

This was announced after the markets closed so look to tomorrow for the stock to dip.

 

Wow, I hope his health is ok. I know he has been battling cancer. Thinking about his health is a scarey thing after a prominent Canadian politician died a few days ago with his battle over cancer.

 

it probably has to do more with his health than the current state of Apple...

 

Just a guess but I don't think he has long to live. A man with that type of personality just doesn't up and quit unless things are really bad.

 

But don't tell him that! He just wants to hate on Apple and be a fanboy of X!

Personally I don't like Apple's heavy handed approach to everything, Jobs was behind most of it. I don't wish death upon the man but it would be nice to see Apple make quality products that don't refuse to allow the user to with it as they please.

I don't think Jobs has had much to do with Apple lately anyway. And by lately, I mean the latter half of this Apple boom.

His time was back in the day, that's what he'll be remembered for.

 

Great! Now maybe they'll stop making this casual gamer crap and re-focus their attention back on the hard core gamers!

I don't know why the stock is dropping and Apple fans are panicking. It's not as if he built and designed every product by hand. It takes collaboration to do those things and I think internally Apple ethos is probably firmly established by now.

Great guy, best of luck to him regaining his health.

 

With high resale-value, great customer service, very sustainable perfomance and a nice design. I don't get why people are always bitching about the cost... you can sell Macs for so much money even years after you bought them. It's stupid to argue on the initial price.

For instance, if a Mercedes would cost 90,000$ and I could sell it after 3 years for 80,000$ - I'd consider that a better deal than buying a Chevrolet for 45,000$ and reselling it for 20,000$ a couple of years later.
