Found this pick on a GP32X forum: What is the handheld next to the Turbo express? Never seen that before.
Hmmm my only conclusion, is that it is a tetris thingydingy.. but my conclusion could be utterly bullocks of what I know of.
Sort of looks like one of those Watari Supervision things that came out in the early 1990's. Though this one looks even more cheaply made, if that's even possible...
On a portable note, I saw one of those Tiger.com's(top right) recently for like $8. Box looked to be in good shape and I would wager it was almost never used. Should I grab it? To this day I regret selling my Lynx. I was like 14 and I needed the cash for pot. The Lynx 2 was fire, nice machine.
Last time i checked, you could buy a game.com and the entire collection of games off of ebay for about $15... That is an amazing collection of handhelds, i didn't realize that the mega duck was actually real, i always thought that was a joke... Never seen a gameboy light before. Now here's a question, out of all of those hand helds, which is the only one that's turned on? The NGage QD... which tells you that the poor bastard actually uses that thing...
It's not very exciting, either. Basically a pirate Gameboy board with a few jumpers changed. Most any black & white Gameboy game could theoretically play on the Mega Duck, if only a few minor modifications were made to its source code. Sachen released about a dozen games for the Mega Duck, then turned around and issued them again as multi-game cartridges for the Gameboy. It looks more like a dummy N-Gage QD, based on the way the logo is displayed in the photo. The non-functional N-Gage QD dummy phones have their logo on the screen like that, and it 'moves' when you move the phone.
It's the first time I see both the original GB, the game gear and the PSP so closer together. Man, things have changed..... Is not that bad, as long the guy didnt pay an awful lot for it...
There is a store in Northern Arkansas called Vintage Stock that has a Lynx on sale, but I think they are asking too much for it, like always. -_- The workers there act like elitist assholes to everyone, too.
The Delplay Game Plus game library came issued on different-sized cartridges than those of the normal Game Master systems. Which means, while the Game Plus cartridges will fit inside any other Game Master or clone, the normal Game Master cartridges won't fit inside the Game Plus. I own both normal Game Master games + several Delplay games. The program code for Delplay issued games is identical to the normal cartridges, so all they changed was the color (white instead of grey) and shape of the cartridge casing. Just a little bit of fact there, in case anyone cares... which no one does.
I was under the impression that the Gameboy Light got scrapped. Never was much into handhelds. My gameboy Pocket got quite a bit of use back when I got it, but my Game Gear/GBA/DS/PSP All ended up as dust magnets shortly after I got them.
He's missing a few that I have, but I don't have the delplay game plus, anybody want to sell me one? Some others I can think of were the cybiko and cybiko xtreme, the game.com pocketpro, the adventurevision (if you consider it a handheld), the select-a-game, the 2001 "game machine", the colorvision, the game axe, and my personal favorite, the pc engine LT!!!
ahh the cybiko!..couldnt remember the name, Toys R Us near me still sells them, seems to be a somewhat active community for it also Ryan
Wait a second, I was wrong about the location. There is one VS branch called "Caveman" in Springfield, Ms., and the VS is in Springfield, too. We like to go to Missouri on trips, so maybe its the same one we are both thinking of.
Yes, the GB Light was released, is a little rare (in Japan) but usually doesn't sell for too much. I paid about $16 for a loose one in a used game shop here. Looks and works great!
Back when the Lynx was on the market my uncle bought one and liked it so much he bought one for both me and my brother. When they got tired of theirs I got them and the games. A few years later I found a fourth pretty cheap and I bought it. So right now I have 4 systems I think only 12 games and assorted accessories. I don't know why I like it so much, but I guess it just brings back memories. Since then I've been collecting handhelds and I've got basically everything in that picture with the exception of the clone systems. Never cared much for those.
Yeah I have one, not much to write home about. Most of the games tend to be half-assed. The screen is of decent quality for a clone though. I actually have most of those handhelds in the picture, except the newer ones (psp, Ngage, pocketfami, and the DS, which I am going to buy with my tax return.) I'll have to put up a pic of them all one day. Thanks for the info Nicola. I read about the game plus on that one Sweedish console site (pelijonipoint, or something.) But they didn't have any pics of it. Which one do you mean, the Game master? (upper right) Same thing as the Megaduck, poor man's gameboy. Of the GB wanna-be's I have that one has the crappiest screen (although not the crappiest games, that honor goes to the Gamate.)
