Faygo is midwestern us only, you'll never find it on the east coast far as I know.

Fountain soda is always screwed up. It's always too sweet, not enough carbonation.
But when it is just right, man it's the best. I just don't drink enough to have one in my house. Soda by nature is bad for you if it's your only drink.

The Coca-Cola bottlers in Ireland haven't been doing too great in recent years (they're planning on closing plants and stuff), so it might explain why we often get crazy paralell imports of Coke cans. Here I've had cans from all over the place - the UK, Germany, France, Canada, Holland, Turkey, South Africa - even Tunisia once! I do notice some difference between them - some are certainly sweeter or more carbonated than the Irish stuff - but I'm not really sure what's best out of what I've had.

I dunno what kind of sugar is used here - it's probably corn syrup though as the sugar beet industry is pretty much dead in Ireland now (more plant closures!).

I definately prefer cans over PET bottles - they really just taste, you know, plasticky. Don't often get a chance to drink from glass bottles any more - only really get them in pubs here and nowadays I'd prefer something a bit more alcoholic if I'm in one ^_^

I went to Kenya in the early '90s, and pretty much all soft drinks there were in glass bottles. It was great! They had some funky Fanta flavours there too.

I really like ginger ale too, but I can never get cans (like Canada Dry) over here any more -_-

Mark30001: Aaaah I even remember the old 50 centilitres glass bottles you could get before they went into plastic versions, I remember it very clear, because my sister was close smacking a 50 CL bottle in the face of a fucking drunk man, years ago. Because the guy tried to kiss her. And You can´t beat the feeling , since it was a Coca Cola bottle (pun intended).

Hehehe, they exported everything to Nigeria, even the old PAL sealed NES games that refused to sell years back...

I think regular Coke is pretty damn good, because my Mom buys Diet Cokes for our house and regular Coke is a treat for me. Im used to the taste of diet Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper (Really tastes like original, IMO), and sometimes Diet Pepsi. Its a treat for me to get the sweet stuff. I like grape juice and Fruit punch better, though.
